Aerial view of the site

General

  • Loughside site set over 55 green acres in County Fermanagh
  • On the shores of Upper Lough Erne, a 10-minute drive from Lisnaskea
  • More than 30 land and water-based activities to try out on site

The clue is in the name with this one: Share Discovery Village is all about getting people together in a place with heaps of adventure and chucking them in at the deep end (sometimes literally). In all, there are more than 30 thrilling possibilities to try out here, from the relaxing to the artsy to the downright daft. (Fancy whizzing over the lough aboard a giant inflatable banana? This could be the place for you…)

Trees around this leafy site provide shaded corners for when the weather is fine, and Upper Lough Erne is a stunning place to watch the sun go down at the end of the day. At peak times, a bar is on hand for socialising, and there's a TV room, play area and pool tables should you find yourself at a loose end.

This site's a particularly practical spot for visitors with disabilities: all of the facilities have been built with guests' accessibility needs in mind. Share Discovery Village is also a charity that works for social inclusion, giving a further boost to this site's feel-good factor. Guests are welcome to bring their dogs and barbecues.

Those venturing off-base will likely want to stop by in Lisnaskea (10 minutes' drive), either for handy amenities like the supermarket or a poke around the ancient monastic ruins.

Please note

Facilities/activities including gym, cruises, water park, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, raft building, paddle boarding, sailing, banana boating, power boating, arts activities, mountain biking, combat corps, archery, climbing, bush craft, team games, night line, orienteering, fussball are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

No cars/motorcycles at the site. All cars must be parked in the designated area.

The indoor swimming pool is open between 02/04 and 30/09.

The site was great , we had the playpark right …09/21/2020

The site was great , we had the playpark right behind us so our wee Girl was loving it (it was her 1st camping experience). We didn’t think there was electric on site, turns out there was and even the shower block had sockets so if you can’t live without your straighteners bring them too lol. Check out was 11am but as it was a Sunday there was no one due to arrive so we didn’t have to rush and got to take a walk down to the marina and ‘man made beach’ part. The weather was great so definitely added to it.

    Would 100% return

No reception on arrival, didn't know where to place tent. No car parking beside tents so had to carry everything to pitches. No security (unfortunately there was a huge party beside my tent, which we told the night guard about and nothing was done). No covid precautions (hence the 30 people party beside us).

Thanks for your review and feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and the surrounding area. We agree that the shower facilities are basic and hope to update them in the near future. Local attractions

Fermanagh is castle country: keep your eyes peeled for turrets, towers and follies galore as you roam these parts. Head to the Enniskillen Castle Museums (20 minutes' drive) to check out the town's impressive fortress, or make tracks for the rugged ruins at the nearby Crom Estate (15 minutes), a National Trust-managed property.

The Fermanagh Lakelands are home to reed-fringed rivers and loughs that are prime spots for strolls. The site has its own walking trail, but serious hikers should head out to the Lisnaskea Country Walk (15 minutes) or Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail (30 minutes). Angling folk are also well catered for hereabouts: pack your rod and drive 20 minutes to Lisnaskea Forest if it's brown trout and peaceful times you seek.

The kids may well enjoy a jaunt to the Marble Arch Caves (half an hour), home to an underground boat trip that guides visitors through a maze of dazzling rock formations and other watery splendours. Venturing further afield towards the Lower Lough (which, slightly confusingly, is actually to the north of the Upper Lough), grownups might fancy sampling somewhat stronger liquids at The Boatyard Distillery (40 minutes).
