  • Bell tent glamping at a working farm 10 miles from Bath
  • A 20-minute drive to Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge
  • Farm park, café and well-stocked farm shop on site
Off to the countryside and ready to plunge into proper farming life? Greater Bristol glamping site Red Sky at Farrington is part of a real working farm, with a farm park on site to give guests of all ages a glimpse into the inner workings of rural life. Come along for a stay here and you’ll be bedding down on a working farm that grows more than 50 kinds of organic vegetables – including the hand-picked potatoes that go into the tasty meals available at the fish and chip shop. Seasonal veg of all sorts are picked every day and delivered to the café too, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding tasty eats around here. Fancy having a go at cooking those tasty eats for yourself? Take a wander around the site’s farm shop to see what you can pick up from the veg selection, butcher and deli (with all sorts of drinks and treats also available too… you are on holiday, after all…) Outside of eating time, spend some time exploring the farm park, which has a tractor-themed play park, a huge ‘Cowtastic’ playbarn, a mini train to ride around on and lots of animals to see (including chickens, pigs and cows). If you’ve got other country pursuits in mind, perhaps cross the road to the local golf club, take a short drive for walks in the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or take a tour of local village pubs. Back at base, bell tents are all kitted out with proper beds, a barbecue and outdoor seating, with shared toilet and shower facilities close by.
