  • Luxury adults-only glampsite 10 minutes’ drive from Wells in Somerset
  • Wookey Hole 10 minutes’ drive; Glastonbury and the Tor 15 minutes
  • Stylish, self-contained pods with well-equipped kitchens and hot tubs
A peaceful corner of rural Somerset. Luxurious glamping pods with all the essentials and lots of thoughtful touches. An adults-only site. Three reasons to book in at Apple Tree Glamping, 10 minutes’ drive from historic Wells in stunning countryside. And another valid reason for staying there? You won’t have to lug loads of stuff from home, as your accommodation has everything you need for comfortable and cosy stays. Yes, the wooden pods are certainly well-equipped; each comes with an induction hob, microwave, air fryer, fridge with freezer box, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, crockery and sink in the kitchen; there’s also a (very) welcome pack of tea, coffee, complimentary beer, prosecco and chocolates. Living space comprises a double bed, sofa, table and chairs, smart TV and wifi, and ensuite bathrooms each have a shower, hairdryer and heated towel rail. The pods are stylishly decorated, well insulated and have electric heating, with all bedding and towels supplied for your stay. Outside, you have a private decking area with seating, a woodfired hot tub and barbecue/firepit, as well as an allocated parking space and electric car-charging point. The Lower River Axe flows through the secure, gated site, and you can fish on the carp lake; the owners also run a smallholding with pigs, chickens, ducks and geese – they’re all available for (supervised) cuddles. And yet another (if you need one) reason to book in here? There are three foodie pubs within walking distance of the site.

Camping pod

Liked Plenty of places to visit in close proximity.
Quiet space for a weekend retreat.

Disliked Shower pressure was quite low.
Maybe a slightly more private area from the owners home.
