What customers say

Great atmosphere, friendly vibe, top-notch clean facilities, and a pub with loads of cider, live music & good food weekends. Lots of space, fire pits a bonus. Watch out for sloped pitches, few shops. Recommended for value & welcome.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Steeped in history, the pub was lovely but the modern facility could have been open more.
Toilets and shower block was good.

Disliked More availability for tents to have a plot with electric hook up would be great.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Fantastic location with a pub, what's not to like, toilets and shower blocks clean. Hassle free camping. Staff are friendly and there is plenty of room.

Liked The cider, the facilities, the atmosphere, freedom for kids on a lovely safe site. Close to brilliant wild swimming at Farleigh Hungerford. Ideal sunny weekend with my kiddos and our friends.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Everything ! We’ve been coming back year after year from Kent. Sometimes we visit a couple of times in a year. We like the new cocktail bus, but also enjoyed the music in the barn.
I like it that the old pub is still open despite the fact the new bars are there as this is part of Tucker’s character. Staff are friendly and helpful, the festival atmosphere is relaxed and fun… most people are friendly and say hello. Good to have security on site too. The shower and
Toilet facilities are kept clean .

The surrounding views are stunning .

Disliked I wish there was an area where dogs could play together off leash. That’s the only thing missing for us .

Local attractions

There are plentiful ways to take in the scenic surrounds while working up a thirst for your evening pint: saddle up for horse or pony treks 10 minutes’ drive away, or head to Bradford-on-Avon to don a captain's hat and navigate a barge through local waterways. If you'd rather just take a walk, a fine place is Westbury (25 minutes), where you can wander off in search of its 55-metre White Horse, carved into the chalk hills. More leisurely days out might take you for a fragrant bimble among the blooms of Somerset Lavender (five minutes' drive) or along the pretty paths at Prior Park Landscape Gardens (15 minutes). Best be allocating a whole day to a trip to Longleat (20 minutes) too, especially if you've got the small sorts in tow; there’s a huge collection of wild beasts to see on the safari trails, and also some rather gorgeous gardens to stroll through. Town times may well feature on your schedule too: you can drive to Bath in around 25 minutes, or take in Wells (35 minutes), Glastonbury (45 minutes) or Bristol (45 minutes).
