What customers say
Friendly staff, flat pitches, great pub food. Ideal for exploring Durdle Door/Lulworth. Easy public transport. Spacious, clean site. Toilets/showers a bit basic/dated, occasional water pressure issues (now addressed), and road noise.

Handy for local attractions…
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Handy for local attractions
Disliked Toilets lacking any hand drying! Had to use toilet roll
Showers when heat was turned up just dribbled
The food was terrible! Chicken wings warm and slimey, no meat on them. Sausages were tough, burnt ends were dry and chewy. Really disappointed
Signal for both tv and phones very poor
The £13 per night electric was a total rip off

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. You requested electricity on arrival and this was made available at the difference between non-electric and electric pitches, and you chose to have electricity. The cost encompasses not only 16 Amp pitches at commercial electricity rates including associated VAT, but also such things as till charges and/or booking deposit and maintenance costs. In terms of water pressure, there was indeed an issue with the water pressure on the campsite and this has now been addressed. I do hope that this provides clarity to your feedback. Regards Red Lion Team

Unfortunately I am not sure on the detail of your comment on the showers. We have x2 gas boiler showers in one toilet block and 2 electrical showers in the temporary shower block. In terms of the electric showers there has recently been an issue with the water pressure on the campsite and this has now been addressed.
I do hope this provides some clarity to your feedback and we hope to welcome you back soon.
It was a good stay overall

Liked The stay was great. No major issues and I would definitely stay again. The pub was great, staff, food and location.
Disliked Toilet roll had run out early Sunday morning in the facilities in the camping field.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay with us. I am sorry the toilet paper ran out; we do check and replace the toilet paper on a regular basis and I will pass this onto the staff to ensure we keep our checks up. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Liked Location with bus nearby handy to visit Dudley door
Disliked Showers and toilets. Very basic. Toilet seat loose. Nowhere to put clothes. Not the cleanest. Cost £39/night. Have paid much less for a much much better campsite

The cost of the pitch includes electricity. This cost encompasses not only 16 Amp pitches at commercial electricity rates including associated VAT at 20%, but also such things as till charges and/or booking deposit and maintenance costs. I am sure you will agree with the need to drive down the cost of VAT for hospitality, a saving that can be passed directly onto our guests. •
I am sorry you did not find our toilets cleaned to our usual high standard; our toilets are cleaned and reviewed on a regular basis and I will pass this onto the team. Unfortunately there are ‘rush hours’ when both the toilet and shower blocks are heavily used and we do ask if there are any issues to notify them to us at the pub bar so that we can address them in a timely manner. We do also ask that campers close the doors to the toilets and showers as there can be a tendency for passers-by to use our facilities. You will recall that the toilet seat was replaced within 14 hours of being reported i.e. overnight. In terms of the hooks in the shower, unfortunately the damage previously caused also damaged the supporting boarding - thank you for highlighting this and I will certainly pass this onto the relevant team member.
I do hope this provides some clarity to your feedback.
