Clover non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Very peaceful stay - stayed in the top field with a cracking view of the Mount bay.Cracking pub in the 5minute walk to the village (found a short cut home so take a torch) Richard on site was very friendly/helpful
Good clean red hot shower in a field which still brings a smile to my face and who doesn’t enjoy throwing sawdust over your poo!
10/10 and definitely returning next year!

Clover non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The location for nearby villages & pubs, the view from the top field, shower and toilets. Warm welcome.

Disliked No dislikes however there are still small nettles and thistle weeds in the field so caution and footware for children recommend. The toilets are compost toilets and whilst they take some adjusting to, they are far less smelly then most sites with regular toilets.

Clover non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked • Gorgeous views (especially from Buttercup Field).
• Perfect location for visiting Mousehole, Minack Theatre, Lamorna Cove and beaches.
• Compost loos and showers were always clean and well kept.
• Family and dog friendly.
• Great nearby finds – we especially enjoyed Gwynver (best with a dog), Praa Sands, Sennen Cove, Porthcurno (before 10am or after 6pm), and even a Thai takeaway near Lamorna

Disliked • Had to clear a few thistles from our pitch.
• Would be even better with more showers, especially in Buttercup Field.

Yarrow non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Sea views, wildlife, walking distance to Newlyn and Mousehole. Well maintained compost loos with simple instructions for those that don't know how to use them. Plenty of space to choose your own pitch. Tall hedges to hold back the wind. Friendly greeting from the couple running the site.

Disliked Nothing, we hope to come back sometime soon.

Local attractions

Make your way to Mousehole (25 minutes’ walk) to swim from the harbour, browse the cafés and shops or take a dip in the seawater Mousehole Rock Pool. Another local spot is Newlyn (half an hour along the roads or 15 minutes over the fields), where there are shops, galleries, a film house, a sandy beach and an outdoor sauna on Newlyn Green. Just a little further out is Penzance (10 minutes’ drive) and its outdoor pool. From Penzance, there are many boat trips to the Isles of Scilly or with fishing and wildlife watching themes. Gorgeous Marazion (20 minutes) and the famed St Michael's Mount sitting at the end of the causeway should be worth your while too.
