Ninho shepherd's hut

From £360 (£360) 3 nights, 2 adults plus taxes or fees £12.50 (£12.50)

4 people maximum

Ninho (said "neen.yoo" and meaning nest) is our gorgeous shepherds hut nestled in to the corner of our home field. Looking out on to the beautiful wildflower meadows of spring, being greeted by the sunrise and spotting the dusk flight of the barn owl are just some of the wonderful sites to behold on your stay. During the warmer months you can enjoy sitting out on the porch or warming yourself by the fire pit as the night draws in. During the colder season you can snuggle up in the cosiness of Ninho by lighting a fire in the woodburner and enjoying the views out from the warmth and comfort of the cabin. Ninho has the luxury of its very own warm shower and flushing toilet right next door to the cabin, so no long walks across fields. Within the cabin there is a king size bed on a mezzanine, a single bed on a mezzanine and a seating area which can be turned in to a bed with prior arrangement. There is also a small dining table which seats up to four and a small kitchen area consisting of an induction hob, washing up sink and various cooking utensils and crockery so that you can prepare meals comfortably (more in depth information on what's provided can be given upon request).... we hope to welcome you to Little Wilderness some time soon so that you can enjoy going at the pace of nature...

Raised decking bell tent

Liked Real gem of a place!
We have just finished (last night) a holiday here with our two kids (8 & 4). The glamping bell tents are roomy and immaculately presented with a gorgeous outdoor space too. Well equipped space, outdoor kitchen space was great and we cooked breakfasts (cooked breakfasts) and several stir fry’s for tea in it so definitely functional as well as pretty. Showers are just beautiful actually! The attention to aesthetic details generally is lush here. It’s a rustic, gorgeous place. The location is great to access lots of decent places to visit. Cars have to park a short walk away, meaning kids are safe to play which we loved. The hosts are considerate, kind and attentive and we’ve had the perfect, relaxing holiday. Thank you!! We will hopefully be back! Our 8 year old summed up the stay as awesome.

From the manager: Ahhh what lovely comments! Thank you so much Nash (and family); means the world to us to have such kind comments and to know you picked up on all the details we have put extra thought and consideration in to achieving. You guys were a joy to have and we would love to welcome you again any time. 😊👍

Really great site to get away from it all, would recommend a visit.

Ground-level bell tent

Liked Really relaxing site where we were able to get away from it all. Accommodationwas spacious and a good distance from neighbours.

It was a real bonus to be able to help yourself to free firewood.

The look and design of the site with their attention to detail shows someone with a creative eye. The owners were attentive, approachable and keen to help.

The visits from the resident cat Pablo and Django the dog were very entertaining.

Disliked I would bring my Wellies next time - a must for the dewy mornings.

We feedback that wheelbarrows in the carpark for the use of guests with shopping etc. would be a good idea which the owners said they would do.

Local attractions

An underwater viewing area makes it possible to see the rescued and orphaned seal pups at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (10 minutes’ drive) up close. You might also see puffins here, or take a guided walk along a creek inhabited by otters. At Trebah Garden (25 minutes) you can wander among the luxuriant vegetation typical of a subtropical climate. Themed areas include a bamboo maze, a serene pond with koi carp and zones devoted to colourful hydrangeas and rhododendrons. If the weather gets too hot, make your way to the beach on the Helford River for a wee paddle. Falmouth (25 minutes) is home to the excellent National Maritime Museum Cornwall, with its collection of watercraft, plus local and regional seafaring artefacts. There are great coastal views from Pendennis Castle, built under the reign of Henry VIII atop a headland stretching into the Carrick Roads estuary.
