Very welcoming owner, she advised us…
Electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Very welcoming owner, she advised us on the best pitch as the field was a bit wet in places and our van may have got stuck. We took her advise and had a great night's stay. Very quiet site away from major roads. Just the kind of informal small site we like.
The owner advised that the toilet and shower block is awaiting a refit and bins for sorting rubbish are arriving soon, we were advised to use the tractor bucket in the meantime. It's a pop up site and dogs are very welcomed.

The water was nice and hot.
Disliked Overall untidy site with rubbish/wire etc lying around. The toilet and shower block was pretty grim and only one shower!!!

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you found the location suitable for visiting the New Forest and that the hot water met expectations.
However, we must respectfully question the accuracy of this review. You stayed for the full duration of your booking and did not raise a single concern with us at any point, despite us being on-site and readily available at all times to resolve any issues immediately.
A 1/10 rating does not reflect the experience of a guest who remained on-site for the entirety of their stay without complaint. Had the issues described been as severe as stated, we would have expected them to be raised at the time so they could be addressed.
Our toilet and shower facilities are cleaned regularly, checked consistently, and kept well stocked throughout the day. We take cleanliness seriously and have clear procedures in place to maintain standards.
As a working farm during our opening period, there are naturally ongoing improvements, but we do not recognise the condition of the site as described.
We always encourage guests to speak to us during their stay so we can resolve any concerns straight away and ensure a positive experience.

Unwelcoming
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked I’m a fab if basis sites so this fits the bill
Disliked The number of rules for an adult only site which only came to light following the booking made me feel unwelcome before I’d even arrived. Then the lady who met us on arrival was really snotty. Needless to say we won’t be back!

From the manager: I’m really sorry you felt unwelcome and that I came across as “snotty” – that was never my intention. I always want our guests to feel comfortable, and I wish you had spoken to me onsite so I could have addressed any concerns straight away.
I do try to keep the rules simple and fair, mostly to make sure everyone can enjoy their stay safely and respectfully. Just to clarify a few things for future reference:
Quiet time is after 11 pm, and vehicle movements after 10 pm can disturb other guests.
Everyone onsite needs to be over 21.
Fires and BBQs need to be in purpose-made firepits, and please don’t put them directly on the ground.
We don’t allow illegal drugs, and we kindly ask guests not to feed the livestock.
Vehicles not being slept in should be in the carpark, and the woodland isn’t suitable for vehicles.
I hope this helps explain things a bit, and I really appreciate your feedback. We always want to improve and make everyone’s stay enjoyable.
