What customers say
Small, peaceful site loved for its nature and friendly owners. Roaming farm animals a hit! Clean facilities with hot showers. Good base for Rye & history. Can get muddy. Some mention limited facilities or chaotic check-in.

Relaxing Week Away
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked We stayed for a week on Pitch 7. When we arrived (just after 2pm) someone was still pitched on our pitch as they had not left, not a biggy and this was sorted straight away with a phone call to Phil the owner who then came to see us. We had a relaxing and peaceful week away with our children aged 6 and 7. We loved the fact the campsite is small and quiet, it felt like you could hear a pin drop from 830pm onwards. We were very lucky to be pitched up to a lovely couple for nearly a week (in pitch 6), they chatted to us and our children and made the holiday even better, such lovely people. Showers (2 of them) nice and hot and plenty of toilets (4 of them). When we needed to text Katy and Phil they were always available and very helpful and we saw Katy when she came to see us a few days later to check all was ok. As another review has said parking can be tight especially if you have a lot of tents with cars more than motorhomes who can park on pitch. A lot of this is down to peoples parking though, especially down the lane near the bell tent, if everyone parked properly you would get more cars in. Outside the road is a 30 mile road so you can park up the street if you can't get parked, again not a biggy. We loved the animals and chickens roaming free in the day, this was a huge highlight for our children. All in all we didnt want to leave the site and had a fabulous week and would 100% go back.
Disliked Lack of parking spaces if busy.

From the manager: Thank you for your visit and, in particular, for choosing to leave a day early due to the presence of blackberries, a decision welcomed by more than one of your neighbours, and one which helped make another great weekend for visitors to our unique and, as you say, quiet campsite. Thank you. As for your claim that there are “no circuit breakers” this is completely untrue. You just didn’t see them or, if it was an issue to you, even come and ask us where they were. We would have gladly shown you.

Quiet site, family friendly, close to Rye, Battle and beaches.
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked The quietness (bar my own child making a lot of noise!), the free roaming farm animals. The Red Lion pub is only a 10 minute walk away.
Disliked The other local amenities are a good 15 minute walk away (shop and pub). After overnight rain the site was a little muddy.

Liked We were greeted on arrival and ensured we knew where we were going. Pitch 11 is massive! Great for our little Eriba and awning.
We were in amongst some tents and made friends with others already there. The site is very peaceful and sits in a wooded area. There are toilets and a couple of showers in a block that also has a washing up sink. It is all perfectly functional if rather rustic! It fits the vibe of the place.
The Red Lion pub served a brilliant meal on the evening of my wife’s birthday and comes highly recommended.
Easy reach of local attractions so would happily visit again.
