What customers say
Great spot with awesome views near Wast Water and Scafell Pike. Hosts Nicky & Jason are super friendly. Toilets and showers are spotless. Bell tents are comfy and kitted out. A few flies/wasps and it can get a bit muddy when wet, but most people love it and want to come back.

Liked Lovely site. Amazingly friendly owners; nothing was too much trouble. Fab little pub only a few minutes walk away. We stayed in a bell tent and there were loads of little extras. Very good value for money.
Disliked A couple of the loos didn’t have mirrors, which would have been helpful when brushing teeth / putting in lenses.

Bell tent (five person)
Liked The location
The bell tent we stayed in as there was a lot of room inside and came with lots of little homely touches. The kids absolutely loved it and we can’t wait to come back.
Was disappointed leaving wishing we had booked for longer. The owners were lovely. Nicky couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed.
Everywhere was lovely and clean and tidy and smelled amazing.
Toilets clean and hot water when needed for washing pots/ hands and for showers.
Was even given some eggs on departure from Nicky. Such lovely hosts.
Disliked We loved everything.

Perfect stay, clean, well stocked facilities, excellent host.
Bell tent (five person)
Liked Amazing stay, family of 4 (12 and 13 year olds) plus 2 dogs, stayed in a bell tent. Site was quiet, tent had everything you could need, Nicky (host) was so accommodating, nothing was too much, she brought fresh towels, ice daily for the cool box she provided, wood for the fire/log burner, tea, coffee, sugar, marshmallows for toasting. Facilities were clean and well stocked with wipes, sanitary products etc. Games available for everyone to use ie: badminton rackets, nets, board games etc. Was the perfect get away to get back to nature, short drive to Wast Water lake, perfect for paddle boarding, swimming, just a little further up the road is Scafell Pike. Will definitely be returning again, little hidden gem 💎

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked What an amazing gem of a place in a peaceful and calm part of the Lake District. The hosts were delightful, the atmosphere on the site was just right and the weather was unusually dry! The local pub, tea room and farm shop were perfect. Thank you so much for making our holiday one to treasure.
Disliked Nothing - The only improvement, if possible, would be a opportunity to recycle our rubbish.
