What customers say

Beautiful spot near Coniston Water & village. Cabins are kitted out, neat & cosy. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Most guests loved it, but some found no WiFi & camp beds tricky. Great holiday, many keen to come back.

Glamping microlodge

Liked We could not have enjoyed our stay more!! Beautiful, spacious and well-equipped glamping cabin, as well as gorgeous well kept grounds and friendly, helpful staff.

A pleasant walk down to the lakeside for swimming, and only a short drive to Coniston where there is a small supermarket and plenty of options for eating out if you don't fancy a bbq.

All in all we totally loved our stay and we're already planning to come back next year!
The lack of WiFi may feel like a downside for some, but for us it gave the perfect opportunity to switch off and reset.

Camping pod

Liked Everything! 5 min walk away from the lake, the showers and toilets was immaculate

Disliked Not being able to have a little fire off the ground to sit next to at night, it’s understandable but it is always nice to have a little fire when you go away

Local attractions

If you're seeking slightly different leisure days in the Lake District, John Ruskin’s House at Brantwood, with its unique stone xylophone, is 20 minutes' drive from the park. The neo-Gothic Victorian Wray Castle is half an hour away, while Rydal Hall Gardens – also 30 minutes – has an open-air sculpture trail to potter along. To see exotic animals instead of art, South Lakes Safari Zoo, 45 minutes from the site, is home to everything from soaring macaws to bounding kangaroos, while the Lingholm Estate (1 hour and five minutes) has alpacas to accompany you on short walks. Sticking closer to the park, sort your Lake District views by driving to the Tarns (20 minutes away) and meandering as long as you please. Once you’re done with above-ground explores, Cathedral cave, a series of connected quarries, is also reachable within a 20-minute drive. If you're up for setting your goals higher – perhaps as high as Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain – start this bucket-list trek after driving for an hour and 20 minutes to the beginning of the trail.
