  • Small, well-maintained and peaceful site in the Cheshire countryside
  • Delamere Forest and Go Ape 15 minutes' drive; Chester half an hour
  • Oulton Park Circuit 10 minutes' walk away; a mile to two village pubs
Perhaps you’re looking to chill out in the Cheshire countryside, or you’re coming along to see (or even try out) the high-speed motor races at the popular Oulton Park Circuit… either way, Oulton Country Park Touring Site makes a lovely choice of place to stay. This tiny pop-up site is a mere 10 minutes’ walk from Oulton Park Circuit, putting petrolheads in pole position when it comes to race day. And there are more handy things close by too, including a couple of pubs a mile away in Little Budworth, a family-run farm shop 10 minutes’ drive away in Utkinton and a great collection of indie shops and places to eat in Tarporley (also 10 minutes away). It’s well placed for days out as well – zoo trips, horse racing and castle visits can be mixed in with city wanders in Chester or walks and bike rides in local nature areas such as Delamere Forest. On site, there’s a shared fridge where you can keep your farm shop goodies and drinks cool, and the pitches are spacious enough to allow you to set up a table and some camping chairs (plus an awning if you like). Facilities here are fairly simple, but you’ll have access to portable toilets and a wifi connection, and there’s a space where you can exercise any dogs you’ve brought along for the ride.

  • The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

  • Bookings must not consist of more than 1 different households.

This neat, tranquil campsite gets a thumbs up for its friendly owners, Andrea and Andy. Reviewers love the quiet vibe, prime spot for Oulton Park and local walks, and gorgeous sunsets. Spotless loos! Spacious pitches, but bring chocks. Racetrack noise? Not a bother for most. Great value, family and dog-friendly.

Liked Lovely location with walks in the woods and park. Fantastic country pub short walk away

Disliked Nothing really, its a very basic site and should be treated as such. Very difficult to find (down a wooded lane not signed from the road)

Liked What a credit to Andrea and Andy. The small well kept field we had was lovley yes you may need chocks to level up on certain pitches but we did find that an issue.. there is a onsite portaloo which was spotlessly clean.there are a couple of electric hookup pitches. There was a little noise from the near by race track but again we didn't find it an issue... there is 2 local pubs with about a 20min walk to reach them both. Andrea the owner was brilliant.. thanks for our stay we lived it.
