General

  • Small, peaceful and family-run site next to the Forest of Bowland
  • In a walkers' paradise near the Yorkshire Three Peaks
  • Spectacular scenery with horses and sheep grazing close by

These routes are made for walking… Orcaber Caravan and Camping Site is in the Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park for hikes up Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent, and right next to the wanders and strides of the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Many more walks and footpaths start directly from the site; get a map from the site information office to show you on your way.

Based at the village of Austwick and five miles from the market town of Settle on the edge of the national park, Orcaber is a peaceful, small and family-run site, set among outstanding scenery with horses and sheep grazing in the neighbouring fields. Dogs are welcome (on leads on site at all times please) and a big field with stream is allocated as a dog walk area on site.

Pitches at Orcaber are large, flat and well drained. Facilities include separate ladies' and gents' showers with plenty of hot water; toilets; a freezer with coolbox ice packs, and an info room with details of local attractions, events – and those many local walks.

Please note

No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

A charge of £0,50 (R11,67) applies for the use of the shower.

Clean & new facilities. Hot water for cleaning/showers. Grassy tent pitching area. Goal posts for communal football. Personal fire pit provided. Firewood/tinder provided. Good location in Yorkshire Dales.

    Disliked:

Gary, the facilitator‘s attitude was terrible. On many instances that we required to interact with him, he came off as rude, inpatient and angry. This wasn’t reflective of other staff though.

Toilets and showers very clean (don’t forget your 50p though for the shower). Pitch was great was a little shaded by trees. WiFi was available which is a bonus with teenagers. The field did get a little muddy due to the rain but pitch was fine. Dog walk opposite campsite and there was fire pits and logs available to purchase. Good location for exploring everything within 15-20 mins. definitely

    Disliked:

Little bit of a walk to toilets and showers and field a little muddy

Really enjoyed our stay & I like the fact that they don’t hike their prices when the children are on holiday. All sites should do the same. Well done to all at Orcaber Farm.

Gary was very nice with us, even I was a bit concern as we arrived a bit late but he was very helpful and kind.
Toilets are always very clean, they are on top of them all the time. Always toilet paper and hand wash soap, there was also shampoo and shower gel in case you forgot to bring yours. Hand sanitizer every too.
All common ares where very clean too.
Also, location is very good, there is a Coop in a petrol station only 7 minutes away. Very closed to beautiful towns and walks.
