What customers say

Sparkling site, spacious spots & top-notch facilities incl. underfloor-heated showers. Great cafe, friendly staff, lush gardens & fantastic kids' play area. Handy for sights. Shop/cafe hours are a bit short for some, and a few wanted longer water/waste hook-ups.

Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Fantastic campsite, perfectly clean, absolutely everything you need and more than enough toilet and shower blocks. The cafe onsite did wonderful food and a really good selection of drinks for how small it was. Really nice walks onsite and a good large children’s play area. All the staff seemed happy and chatty

Disliked We were gutted the cafe/bar wasn’t open on evenings. Only open Saturday evenings but we would have happily went in all the nights we were there for a few drinks

Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very clean facilities with plenty of private shower rooms. The grounds were well laid out for access to everything. My grass pitch had water and electric hook up. Clearly a well run cared for site.

Disliked Unfortunately there was someone on my pitch when I arrived and they had stayed on without informing reception. By the time they had moved to an alternate pitch it was late afternoon. This meant I was putting an awning up then organising myself when it was dusk. Not a great start to my first ever camping experience!

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked Customer service is amazing, we had an issue with the tow car breaking down on the way to collect the caravan from storage. Spoke to customer services and they move back our booking by a full week to give me time to get the car fixed at no additional costs.
On arrival the site is very clean and tidy with lots of open space. The staff are very helpful and polite. Seems a nice place to come, will be coming back again.

Disliked Nothing.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (large, adults only)

Liked Very clean toilets and showers. New shower block and facilities are excellent. Lovely landscaping and planting. Very nice cafe on site serving great choice of breakfasts. Excellent fully serviced pitch and adults only field.

Disliked That shop on site didn’t sell much, not even a loaf of bread or pint of milk. We had booked an adults only pitch but at the weekend groups of children were riding round our field on scooters and bikes making lots of noise.

Local attractions

At North Yorkshire Water Park (10 minutes’ drive or a 15-minute bike ride) the entire family can make a bit of a splash, either on the inflatable obstacle course or having a go at wakeboarding. There’s also paddleboarding, kayaking and open-water swimming, plus (for those who prefer solid earth to water) climbing and axe throwing. Scrambling up the headland that is home to Scarborough Castle gives you the chance to admire the town’s two beaches from up high: South Beach is lively and lined with shops and arcades, while North Beach tends to be less busy. At its northernmost end is the SEA LIFE Scarborough aquarium. Dotted with statues, follies and fountains, the gardens at Castle Howard (40 minutes) are quite spectacular. Swans and other birds inhabit the area around the lakes and waterways, and it is also possible to take a rowing boat for a trip around the Great Lake.
