General
- 50-acre park with a pub overlooking a pool and playground
- Excellent views and immaculately-maintained grounds
- On-site 18-hole golf course, helipad, spa and cinema
Oh, you'll be all in a whirl with a stay here. Not only does Rudding Holiday Park have a helipad for those who might like to pretend they’re Bond, James Bond, but its setting in the grounds of Rudding Park Hotel means you’ll be having a hol in the lap of luxury – even if you’re only bringing your natty old tent.
The grounds of this 50-acre park are whirly special, with a heated outdoor pool (charge applies), playground for little flyers, and the Deer House pub; cleverly, the pub overlooks both the pool and the playground, and has a games room inside for competitive and/or rainy days. When having a wander, there are gorgeous gardens and woodland, lush views and immaculately-maintained grounds: Rudding Holiday Park is a previous winner of the AA Best Campsite in Britain award and the friendly team keep facilities to the highest standards.
Park guests are welcome to hover around the hotel facilities too when landing at Rudding: there’s a spa, smart Clocktower restaurant with terrace and conservatory, and – rather fab – a private 14-seat cinema to hire for parties or just because. Those seeking (whirly) birdies can take their teeing-off pick from the on-site 18-hole golf course, Repton Short Course, or golf driving range and academy.
When taking flight off site, Rudding Holiday Park is minutes away from the A1 motorway to get to most of Yorkshire’s highlights, and it’s only two and a half miles from hanging out in Harrogate. Get to the chopper…

Local attractions
York, Leeds and Harrogate are all easily accessed from Rudding, as well as smaller settlements like Malham, Knaresborough and Ripon with its ancient cathedral and less ancient racecourse. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is to the west and the North York Moors to the north east for active options like caving, boating, climbing and horse riding.
Visitors to North Yorkshire will find historical sites and museums of all flavours at every turn: a few of the eclectic options on offer museum-wise include the Eden Camp Museum in Maldon for a noisily realistic look at World War II, and the award-winning Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds, taking the wide-eyed visitor back through the history of medicine.
If you’ve decided on a truly relaxing holiday and don’t want to move more than a few miles from your pitch, the village nearest to Rudding Holiday Park, Follifoot, is within strolling distance and has a horse-riding centre for all abilities as well as a couple of decent pubs in the Harewood Arms and Radcliffe Arms.
