What customers say

A neat, clean park with a great family vibe. Super showers, close to Scarbs. Dog park, play area, bar & bistro all a hit. Comfy lodges/pods, often with hot tubs. Mostly peaceful, though some road noise & facility hours were noted. A bit pricey for some, esp. with electrics.

Primrose lodge (hot tub)

Liked A lovely site, very clean, friendly staff. Swimming pool was excellent and hot tub was lovely. Nice & quiet spot for lodges, private enough and everything was provided which was listed before arrival.

Disliked After 1 shower, the bathroom was like a pool for the rest of the stay. You couldn’t go to the loo, brush your teeth, or use the mirror without plodging through water. This meant traipsing water back and forward through the lodge the entire time. Add in the huge amount of flies, plus it was incredibly hot/stuffy and it was a damp and uncomfortable stay.
Sleeping with your head next to a noisy fridge is not ideal.
The onsite pub was lovely but we went for dinner on Sunday & they had live music on. It was SO loud we had to eat outside in the cold 😂
Kids also complained the park had seen better days
We’d probably book the cottage’s if we came again, they looked stunning.

Buttercup lodge (hot tub)

Liked Friendly staff, really easy and smooth check in, quiet and peaceful round the lake and the lodge had everything you needed. Kids really enjoyed the wildlife nearby (ducks and rabbits). We ate in the on site restaurant which was scrumptious.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We’ve just got back from 4 nights here. The site itself is lovely and clean. Very peaceful at night with a lovely view of the fields. The toilets and showers are the cleanest we’ve ever used. There was not one bit of dirt in them. The site is close to bus stops which take you to Scarborough and Bridlington. It’s also a short drive to the beach. There’s a bistro on site and an indoor swimming pool but unfortunately we didn’t get chance to use them….hopefully use them next time we come as we will definitely be booking again! Well done to the owners for keeping this site beautiful and clean, we will definitely be recommending you to others.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Peaceful site, well maintained

Disliked Hot water in pot wash room never lasted long enough to do dishes, unmanned reception made it feel very impersonal and lack of full time staff on reception should be reflected in pricing but I don’t think it was. Not a big deal, just my thoughts

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Fully serviced pitch with good restaurant nearby. Toilets and showers were satisfactory. No sign or smell of any cleaning recently done during our stay.

Disliked Pitches are too close to each other and with no shrubs or hedging so no privacy at all. People walking past both ends of the motorhome constantly. Felt like everyone was just parked up in a carpark.

Lilac lodge (hot tub)

Liked Our lodge exceeded our expectations, it really was like a good self catering apartment in condensed form. They are very well designed and were very comfortable for our family of 3. Also the shared facilities were clean and tidy, the lodge area is quiet and peaceful, and there's loads to do in the surrounding area with Scarborough and Cayton Bay on the doorstep. The bar is a pleasant place for a drink too. Surprisingly the wifi was pretty good! Lots to like, we had a great little break at this lovely site.

Disliked We ate at the bar/restaurant. It's really smart, a nice place for a drink, but the food looks a bit of an oversight. The costs are the going rate but the quality isn't, at least not on the night we visited .

Lilac lodge (hot tub)

Liked The pod was good and as expected.
The whole place was very attractive well cared for.
Hot tub was fun

Disliked The hob. Impossible to work without instructions. Phoned for help a man appeared he couldn’t get it to work. He phoned for help after many instructions we got it working. You cannot see the controls and they work totally illogically.
Pitch up said the Bistro open every day. We visited Monday and Tuesday. It’s closed.
The telephone no on pitch incorrect

Local attractions

Pack your swimming costume… you might be a frequent visitor to Cayton Bay beach (five minutes’ drive) while you’re here, and the beach has its very own surf school for budding swell catchers. Sailing lessons are available in Filey (10 minutes) and there are more seaside activities in Scarborough (15 minutes) including more sea swims. A picnic might be a good idea for Sewerby Hall and Gardens (25 minutes) and Castle Howard (50 minutes) – both are historical settings with grand grounds for such afternoons. In Whitby (45 minutes), dine on iconic oysters instead and fuel outings to any family-friendly attractions… These might include Playdale Farm Park (five minutes) and Flamingo Land Resort (45 minutes), two wildlife-themed family days out.
