What customers say

Top spot, small & peaceful. Owners super friendly. Clean facilities, big pitches, great play area & fishing lake, kids loved it. Toilets basic, sharing a slight niggle, but overwhelmingly positive. Handy for exploring.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked We had a lovely 3 days here - we booked for 2 but were having such a great time extended another night! It was quiet and relaxing! Sue was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. Especially enjoyed fishing and we caught so many fish including common and mirror carp and even a tench! Toilets were lovely - clean and really nice hot shower.
We can’t wait to come back again as soon as we can!
Thanks Sue for a lovely few days - wish we could have stayed longer.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Great fishing, immaculately kept site, friendly welcome. I Recently stayed at Eastgate with my 9 year old son who enjoys fishing, we were made to feel very welcome by the owner on arrival. Lovely little site, my son loved fishing the lake and caught plenty. Quiet little site where he enjoyed playing with the other children on site.
Definitely booking another stay*****

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Had an absolutely amazing stay, we even caught some fish after the lovely owner loaned us her net as we forgot ours. My twins both learned to ride without the stabilisers on the bike that was there for guests to use to which was such a special memory for us. We will definitely be returning kids loved the trains going past and never bothered us at all!! thank you for helping us make memories on your beautiful site and we honestly can not wait to come back

Disliked We loved everything!!

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked This us one of the best sites we stated on. The owners are fantastic and lovely to talk to. Pitches are a good size with both electric and water at pitch. Easy access. Nice dog walk and beautiful views. Our grandson olli loved the place and is still talking about it and can't wait to return after a great three day break

Local attractions

If you’re in the area for the fresh air, you’ve got lots of choices for days out. Perhaps head to the fabulous North Yorkshire coast for days in Filey (20 minutes’ drive), Scarborough (25 minutes) or Whitby (45 minutes), or take your binoculars out for a day of birdwatching at RSPB Bempton Cliffs (35 minutes). Alternatively, stay inland for mountain bike rides in Dalby Forest (25 minutes) or hikes through the stunning North York Moors National Park. The North Yorkshire Water Park (20 minutes) is another fun option for those who’d like to bound across a floating assault course, and there are a couple of golf courses within a 10-minute drive too. Meanwhile, those who like flower-filled views should take a look at Scampston Walled Garden and Woldies Nature & Lavender Farm (both 10 minutes). If you like to include a bit of history and culture on your holidays, plan trips to the magnificent Castle Howard (25 minutes) and the ruins of Rievaulx Abbey (45 minutes). More recent history is on display at Eden Camp Modern History Museum (15 minutes), on the site of a former prisoner of war camp, and there's always plenty to see and do in York (35 minutes).
