Remote and rural, but only three miles from the coast – that’s the enticing setting of Goxhill Meadows, in the East Yorkshire countryside about five minutes' drive from Hornsea.
The word meadows is always an enticing one, too, and it's a very apt one for this site, where the owners aim to offer an eco-friendly experience where guests can chill out in a peaceful natural location. There are only a few glamping pods in the meadow, which means plenty of space for all guests to put their feet up and soak up the uninterrupted views across the surrounding woods and farmland. The big skies here often offer up gorgeous sunsets and spectacular stargazing too.
This small, friendly site is part of a farm where you're welcome to bring kids, dogs and horses along – there are some great rides and walks nearby, including the Trans-Pennine Trail for walkers and cyclists and a ride across fields to the beach for horse owners. Animals (ponies, pygmy goats and sheep among them) graze in the fields around the site, and you can get up close and personal by booking animal experiences or alpaca walks.
As for your accommodation, you'll be staying in a smart and cosy Landpod, each of which has its own private shower pod with toilet and sink. Outside, you'll have a spacious outdoor area with a covered firepit, a picnic bench and comfy chairs. And on days when you can’t decide whether you want to be in or out, you can simply open up the sides of the pod to let the light and fresh air inside. Close by is a cute shared horsebox kitchen kitted out with all the bits you'll need for your meals.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.- No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
- The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
- Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
- At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
- Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.
- Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
