Lots of space and some splendidly scenic views are part of the package when you stay at Field View Certified Location, a family-run East Yorkshire site that’s available exclusively to members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. As the name suggests, this site looks out over the surrounding fields – and with half an acre shared between just a handful of guests there’s plenty of room for you to relax and enjoy that peaceful atmosphere. Each of the numbered pitches has an electric hook-up and you’ll have access to fresh water and waste water points along with a guest toilet facility. This is an attractive part of the world to explore on foot or by bike – look for details of suggested routes in the information booklet on site. That’s just one of the things provided in the site’s information point, which also has plenty of leaflets about local attractions and a reviews board where guests can share their local tips. Bus stops are within walking distance of the site for those times when you’d like to travel further afield – perhaps to the seaside at Hornsea or to the city sights of Hull. With plenty to do nearby, you’ll want to fuel up with a good breakfast – and that’s made easy here with fresh eggs for sale daily. At the end of the day, get your barbecue going or take the 10-minute walk to the local pub in the village of Leven for a meal and a local pint.

Liked The people runnig the site were nice, the toilet was clean.Good takeaway in the village

Disliked Hard to spot entrance. Nothing but an A4 sized sign. Just a field. No facilities except a toilet.Ok site if you are just passing through and want somewhere for the night.

From the manager: Hi, I’m sorry to hear your review. I’m glad you found us nice and the toilet was clean and you enjoyed the takeaway.

Our site is not self contained. We have electric hook up points to each pitch, fresh drinking water available, and a waste disposal point on site. As well as rubbish bins to dispose of your recycling (although leaving a sleeping bag by your pitch upon departure is not typically accepted..). So people staying are not just off grid.

When booking, there are many pictures of our site showing that it is a ‘just a field’, and all of our previous guests enjoy that for the view. There is also the facility list on pitch up being clear we only have a toilet, no shower (although we have a shower and washing up area currently being built). So I find your comments and rating on that a little unfair when this is all clear when choosing to book a pitch with us. You knew what you were booking.

Similarly your comment on value for money is rather unfair. We are an incredibly low price of £20 a night including electric hook up and many are shocked to hear that the £20 includes that.

We are on a working farm much like a number of small caravans and motorhome club CL’s and people tend to love the quietness of the stay and often have many people stay for 2 nights up to 2 weeks! So definitely love to stay much more than one night.

Again we’re incredibly sorry to hear your very low scores around our site when the comments you made are clear upon booking. However we will look into clearer signs at the entrance, although those using satnav / phone maps have no trouble finding our driveway.
