Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Family friendly site, owners are lovely and keep the place very clean and well maintained.
Kids loved having animals in neighbouring fields.
I have seen some reports on sketchy mobile signal. O2 was low but fine! And I downloaded a couple of programs for my grandson before we arrived.

Disliked Nothing - all great !

What customers say

Great spot! Campsite gets kudos for quiet vibe, spotless facilities & friendly owners. Kids love the animals (goats, guinea pigs!). Spacious pitches. Hot showers, clean loos a winner. Occasional weak phone signal & potential shower queues in peak season mentioned. Most keen to return.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Peaceful, welcoming

Disliked Not enough toilets, as 2 of the 3 are with showers, was left waiting for a toilet first thing in the morning. The lone toilet could have a ‘toilet only’ usage as people were getting dressed/ washing in there too.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The owners are incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely care about their guests—they went completely out of their way to help us when we had a burst tyre down the road before we even arrived! The site itself is lovely, quiet, and basic with brilliant, large pitches. The shower block is always kept clean and well-maintained. The kids absolutely love the animals, especially the free-range guinea pigs and rabbits, and getting to feed the chickens! The local village is just down the road too, with a great small shop, a play area, and a miniature railway.

This is our third year staying here, and we’ve already booked our pitches for next year. We absolutely love it!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Really lovely site with nice clean toilets and really nice owners who were super accommodating the whole stay and we especially liked stroking all the goats and rabbits

Disliked Definitely do some research about the location as we were a bit unprepared for all the driving we did as it is definitely quite remote, we did walk into the village but the whole walk was on a 60mph road so only did it once

Local attractions

Being in the middle of the Norfolk countryside has its perks… foodies can flock to the market town of Aylsham (10 minutes’ drive) beside the River Bure for lush local produce and ‘slow food’ concept eateries. Blickling Hall (15 minutes), a Jacobean stately home, is easily combined into one trip. From Aylsham, there’s a footpath to Wroxham (20 minutes). There, board the Bure Valley Railway for a steam train journey back to Buxton (by your new base). Towards the Norfolk coast and right on the edge of The Broads, Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens (40 minutes) has a small zoo or, for adventurous types, a treetop adventure course. But of course, those Broads and the gorgeous Norfolk coast must somehow feature in your itinerary. The seaside at Mundesley (25 minutes) was just as popular in the Victorian era as it is now. Wroxham (20 minutes), set on the River Yare, has a riverside park and boats available for hire.
