  • Well-maintained grass pitches at a Nottinghamshire organic farm
  • Crich Tramway Village and Nottingham within a half-hour drive
  • Easy access from the A610 and M1; farm shop and café on site
If eating well is an integral part of your break, then it’s likely you’ll be most pleased with the offerings at Trinity Farm Organic Camping, just outside the Nottinghamshire village of Awsworth (about 20 minutes' drive from Nottingham). They’ve been running an organic and biodynamic farm here for more than 30 years, setting up market gardens, orchards and greenhouses among the woodlands and meadows that surround the place. It’s a peaceful and well-maintained place where you’ll get a bit of an insight into life as a grower – and maybe even pick up a couple of tips… The produce from the gardens supplies the farm shop and the café, both of which are packed with tasty things to eat and drink. The modern café serves food and drinks every day from 8am to 4pm, so get your hands on a hot or cold drink, delicious cakes and sweet treats or a packed lunch for your picnic. Also up for grabs are cooked breakfasts (until 3pm), light bites and tasty hot or cold lunches. If you'd rather do your own cooking, pick up some bits at the farm shop; barbecues are allowed on site. Getting to this rural spot should be straightforward as it’s only a couple of minutes’ drive from the nearest A road (and about 10 minutes from the M1). Pitches are fairly simple in style but have access to a modern shower and toilet block.

What customers say

A charming, tranquil spot with ample room and top staff. Guests raved about the spotless, modern ablutions and the cafe/farm shop's lekker food and organic goods. A few minor gripes with signage and track access, and some found the facilities a bit basic for the cost. Still, many would gladly come back for the peace and stunning natural surroundings.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked That it was organic

Disliked The road to the field was totally unsuitable for my motorhome
Over grown trees scratched all along the side of the van
Then it was practically impossible to level as the field is very uneven more suitable for tents and camper vans
There weren’t any designated pitches so campers were allowed to camp to close to each other making it very unsafe in the event of fire

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Friendly Staff, excellent toilet facilities, and lovely large field for the tent pitches. Having the farm shop at the top for anything you have forgotten to bring is a nice bonus for a worry-free last-minute camping trip.

There is some road noise and occasional jet noise, but you know the location when you book it. If you want silence, go further out into the countryside. Can't fault Trinity Farm for this.
