Liked The fact it’s a year round site makes a huge difference for our needs. Facilities were fit for purpose and clean. A shop was close by which helped with basic needs.

Liked Peace and quietFantastic site for a nice relaxed weekend away. Clean toilet/shower block and well kept grounds.
It was only our second trip out with our classic caravan and a last blast before winter. Alf was very friendly and accommodating and we will be back in the summer fore sure

Liked We have stayed at ashleigh lakes for a couple of weekends now . We love the peace and quiet, there has only been a few other people there both times we have stayed. For us it's a short distance away from home but I think it will be the first place we think of when we just want to pack and get some R n R. Husband enjoys the fishing, kid enjoys the open field and getting closer to nature just for a short while. Facilities are great for what we need and host is very welcoming. We will be back! Liked Myself and my husband and our two dogs stayed this weekend for the first time and we had a wonderful time away at Ashleigh Lakes.

Alf was so lovely and welcoming and we will certainly be returning again.

Lovely quiet camp site, brilliant facilities, great value for money and a beautiful lake on site to explore.

I have looked into providing WiFi in the past and it's just not viable for such a low occupancy site to provide it free. When I've suggested a paid option, I was told I'd be marked down if customers were made to pay.

Liked We had a lovely, peaceful 2 night stay at Ashleigh Lakes. Alf was friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed even though we arrived fairly late due to traffic. The site had everything we needed and overall it was a pleasant experience.

What an absolute gem of a campsite! From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, peaceful, and perfectly looked after. The pitches were spacious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to settle in straight away. The facilities were spotless and well-equipped — clearly cared for with real attention to detail.

But what truly set this stay apart was the host. Brilliant doesn’t even begin to cover it! Warm, approachable, and full of local knowledge, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Whether it was offering tips on the best walks nearby, checking in to see if we needed anything, or just sharing a friendly chat, their hospitality was second to none. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it makes all the difference.

We left feeling relaxed, looked after, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a campsite that combines excellent facilities with a host who really cares, look no further — this place is perfect!

Liked Stayed mid week and enjoyed the whole field to myself. Was met by Alf who talked me through the setup. Lovely and quiet evening enjoyed the bats and owls in the field. Field was well kept and grass kept short which on a wet morning was appreciated.

Showers were nice and hot and clean.
