What customers say
A well-kept, friendly spot in a prime Peak District location. Expect great views, roomy pitches, and clean facilities. Easy check-in and nearby pubs are a bonus, though some road noise and a need for more amenities at busy times were noted. Still a solid choice.

Electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked Great pitch size, clear signage, wifi strenth was good. Water was hot when needed and good water pressure.
Disliked The family bathrooms arent suitable for family use, the small cubicle doesnt fit 2 people and if the door is kept open floods the floor and makes it dangerous as there isnt a mop or squeegee to mop this up, it was nearly impossible to wash my toddler. We then had issues with some teenagers on the site using the play area past 11pm for whatever they wanted, screaming, play fighting, etc. The smell of weed was coming from the area strongly also. This backed onto our pitch and woke our little one numerous times which meant us ourselves having to get up and go and ask them to be quiet and stop smoking, as we didnt know where to find staff. Then finding the next morning when i took my child to the play area that they had left some kind of tobacco and drug remenants there was just infuriating . This campsite needs some more supervision from staff, it was really disappointing as our first night was great, and i understand this isnt the campsites fault entirely but unfortunately we wouldnt return here due to these issues.

Good site, good base for hiking and seeing local area.
Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked Quiet most of the time, plenty of room, clean facilities, easy access, good views. Well signed, great cafe on sight
Disliked Slight road noise could upset some. Needs a bit of a cosmetic upgrade, some toilets need upgrading and close off where the bins are, bit unsightly when going to use the toilets/ showers.

Disliked We were on pitch 1 which is right next to the entrance so consistent traffic of arrivals/departures going past. Pitch was under trees which meant we got minimal sunshine and quite a bit of bird mess on our new tent. Previously stayed on pitch 10 which was lovely and secluded in the corner

Liked Lovely view (donkeys!) and good pitch sizes, most look quite level. Nice to have a pub just a short walk away as well.
Disliked Would be good to have a few more facilities (toilets, shower and washing up areas)
