When it comes to stays in the Peak District National Park, sometimes all you need is a simple and peaceful place to lay your head for the night, with basic facilities but very little to distract you from the gorgeous views all around. (Oh, and maybe a pub within walking distance…) If that's the sort of thing you seek, you’ll likely be most happy with your lot at South View Farm Camping. This is wild-ish camping (in that it’s got a toilet block and running water), spread over roughly four acres and on a very slight incline. As well as having fabulous views over to Bradwell Edge, there’s a gliding club close by, so you may spot some folk taking to the air. As befits a wild-style site, there's a laidback atmosphere in which you'll be allowed to bring a barbecue or light up a campfire, and dogs are welcome as long as they're kept under control and on a lead. There's a sink on site for topping up your drinking water, as well as washing-up sinks and rubbish bins. And that pub? It’s a mere five-minute walk along a footpath to the village of Little Hucklow and a pint of something local in the garden or by the fire (and a meal too, if you like). For more eating options, the local villages of Bradwell and Tideswell are about five minutes' drive away and have pubs, shops and takeaways. Working up an appetite for your dinner should be straightforward here, as you’ll be pretty much right in the centre of the national park with easy access to all the top hikes, activities and attractions.

Liked: We booked for one night and set up at 2pm we had some good food and took in the amazing views from this site! Toilet blocks was very clean and well kept two sinks for washing up. (liquid provided) dinking water tap too! Jade was a lovely host who comes to greet you once your set up and if there was anything you needed you could ask and if she could do it she would. She also offered us a free night because we had to leave @9:30pm as one of our dogs would not settle and just wanted escape the tent lol!
We would recommend this site to anyone looking for a family friendly place to camp with amazing views!

Liked: Great campsite. Visited on a bank holiday and the site had plenty of space and didn’t feel over crowded at all.
Clean toilets and portaloos which were regularly maintained.
Great honesty box with lots of snacks.

Disliked: Showers would be ideal (if staying for more than a couple nights).

Liked: Amazing views, toilets always cleaned and well looked after, loved the space and pitch where you like ethos, fire pit rental even though we didn't get much use due to weather but not the sights fault.
