Liked: Great site for balance of feeling like you’re wild camping if you hide away in the top field but with facilities including a great cafe for coffee and breakfast.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)
Liked: Our second visit this year so we knew we liked. Good clean facilities and lots of room. Close to Monsall Trail on a bus route from Buxton. Last time walked to Bakewell and went back to walk the other way to Buxton (part Monsall Trail part footpaths and bridleways to avoid A6). Also there is a good pub 15 minutes walk away.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (six person)
Liked: Facilities were much better than expected (toilets/showers super clean and always available). Having the shop/bar/cafe on site was handy. The views from the higher campsite were lovely.
Disliked: Options at the bar/cafe were quite limited, and also not very inclusive to dietary requirements (but I wouldn't expect them to be and we brought our own food anyway)

Liked: The beautiful views, the cafe and being able to have a fire.
Disliked: The weather - but not much the farm could do about that!

Liked: The Cow Shed was a good place to catch breakfast in the morning along with the good choice of cakes etc.
Disliked: I have to say the men's toilets were absolutely disgusting. From the first time I visited them they were already overflowing and by the end of the day you can imagine what they were like it reminded me of going to festivals back in the day. If they invested on the toilet blocks or at least cleaned them out throughout the day it may have been better though for the amount of people you can fit on site they need more than one block.

Liked: Unfortunately ruined by the second night. Large group of people blasting music and drink driving and revving engines at midnight. Bit worried specifically with young children. Glad to of got home!
