Entrance gate difficult to use. Water tap needs lowering. Niggles that could easily be put right.

This is a basic site with lovely views and grass pitches but with everything you need for grey / black water waste and refill the water. The owners were really friendly with information and tips on what to see in the local area. Look for Lathkill Nature Reserve, Tissington Trail are all nearby.

Not the fault of the campsite, but for info, we were hoping to walk to the local pub. The road has overgrown grass verge making it impossible. And the trip wasn't worth it anyway as the beer was weak and it was overrun with bikers!

Very quiet and fantastic views. Although with just a water tap and and chemical toilet disposal point, these where separated, very well maintained and clean.

Large Pitches - Great Views

I stayed here for 2 nights with my son and grandson. The site is beautiful with amazing views and a short distance from a lovely village. It is also only about 10 minutes away from Bakewell which is well worth a visit.
The site was quiet and all the other guests were very respectful of each other, keeping noise to a minimum and greeting each other politely.
The owner was very friendly and helpful with recommendations of places to go and what was happening in the local area.
Yes the site is basic but it has water, bins and waste disposal which is all you should really need if you're in a tourer or motorhome but we felt the price was really reasonable for the facilities it does have and I would have happily paid more for the beautiful views alone.

Absolutely nothing that we disliked. We will definitely be returning.
