Liked: Lovely site within a short walk to the river. Clean, quiet, small with good facilities. Within walking distance of a coffee shop and fantastic pub (The Red Lion).

Liked: Lovely quiet site, really nice to be next to the farm though and hear life going on. Great walks and local village is a delight. Great farm run cafe.
Disliked: Shower block was a bit nippy so didn’t use it but would be perfect in warmer months. A little path to the water point would be a welcome addition.
Really lovely family run site with everything you need.

Liked: Washing up area under cover. Flat gravel pitch as it was wet. Could walk in the field next door. Just turn up and text them of your arrival.
Disliked: Only 1 shower. I knew it was on a farm and would have cattle sounds and smells in february. Dusty dirty basin and loo.

Liked: Great walks from the site. Fantastic pub 10 mins walk away. Nice café serving coffee and cakes.
Disliked: Never saw or heard from owners in the 5 days we were there. Showers / toilet facilities were very dirty, hadn't been cleaned at all whilst we were there, no toilet rolls in the 2 self contained facilities all the time we were staying. Gravel path needed to bins and waste disposal. Rubbish bins were full. Just seemed very unloved by the owners (but you are charging people for staying at your site)

We’re really pleased you enjoyed the local walks, the nearby pub and the cafe, we actually run the cafe ourselves, so it’s especially nice to hear you enjoyed the coffee and cakes. We’re very lucky to be surrounded by such lovely spots and are glad you were able to make the most of them.
We are a very small, family run rural campsite, and alongside the site we also run a working farm and have small children. At this time of year, when we may only have one or two bookings, it simply isn’t viable for us to have the site continuously staffed. However, our phone number is provided on booking confirmations and displayed in multiple places around the site, and we are always happy to come over straight away if needed. We never intentionally avoid guests, we just rely on people contacting us if there’s an issue.
We are, of course, concerned to read your comments about the cleanliness of the facilities and bins. That certainly isn’t the standard we aim to maintain. Had we been made aware during your stay, we would have addressed it immediately. We encourage guests to contact us at any time so we can resolve problems quickly.
We truly value our guests and do our best to balance running a small rural business with family and farm life. We’re sorry that on this occasion you felt the site was “unloved,” as that’s certainly not how we see or run it, but we do appreciate you sharing your experience.

Liked: We had a really lovely stay here. The site was super quiet and peaceful — exactly what we were looking for.
It’s a self check-in setup so we didn’t meet the owners, but everything was straightforward and easy. The facilities were basic but clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The surrounding area is beautiful, with amazing walks nearby and a really cute farm café close by which was such a bonus.
If you’re looking for a calm, low-key base in a lovely location, this is a great choice. We’d definitely return.

We’re sorry for the frustration caused by the electricity going off during your stay. Unfortunately, this was due to a local car accident that damaged power lines in the area, which resulted in a temporary outage affecting us and surrounding properties. The issue was completely outside of our control, but we understand how inconvenient it must have been, especially in the evening.
We appreciate your patience while the power was restored and hope that aside from this unexpected incident, you had an enjoyable stay.
