Most pitches were a mud bath not their fault with the weather

The welcome from Reception, the friendliness of the onsite staff who helped me with my van. The facilities were spotless and very well maintained. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

No clubhouse, but then, we can all make our own entertainment

Level gravel pitch as requested. Lovely welcome by ladies in reception and showed us to our pitch. Sun was shining and we did a 5 minute walk from site to discover the sea. Fab views and lovely walk to Berry Head. Got back showered I nice clean well kept toilet and shower block. Pop up bar and pop up breakfast bar were great touches too. Had a great burger 🍔 from there.

Only one little thing was the shower kept turning itself off after around 10 seconds so had to keep pushing button. Not a huge issue as everything else was lovely

We had a great time, and
loved the campsite because it was flat and very wide open and spacious. The bathroom facilities were very nice and always spotless. We also like the horse box bar, very nice to be able to have a cool fraught beer on site.The other plus was the location, perfect for walking into Brixham and quick access to the SW coastal path. Awesome
site and already planning a return asap.

We booked to camp here for four nights, however on arriving at the campsite and then being shown our allocated ‘pitch’ we were shocked at the location, which was directly in front of the bin store and right next to the entrance, with immediate access to the main road. We have two young children so being so close to the road felt simply unsafe, this coupled with the pitch being right next to the bins felt very unpleasant, let alone quite unsanitary. The pitch was also quite small, we have a large tent, and entered the dimensions for this when making the booking but the pitch really didn’t seem like it would have been big enough. It’s hard to understand how this could even be offered as a viable pitch to be honest, it felt more like a spare piece of land, I’ve never been to a campsite before where there’s a camping pitch right in front of the bin store. In the end we made a decision to quickly find another site, we had to leave very quickly in order to make it there before they closed, so we didn’t have time to inform reception or make an official complaint, but I did email the site the next day but received no reply, and ultimately ended up £140 down.

This was our main family holiday this year, and we were very disappointed with the pitch being offered, we paid quite a lot of money for this booking and feel it was simply not up to standard.

We also have to say, we don’t feel the images on pitch-up are a true reflection of the campsite at all. The images on the site show a very spacious looking site with lovely views over the bay. The reality is very different, all the pitches are crammed together leaving very little free space around the site. It seems the owners are looking to utilise every inch of space to get as much pitch money as they can, which is ultimately summed up with the pitch right outside the bin store!

Very quiet. We had our quality time together. No problems encountered. Very friendly staff. This is our 2nd year now. We keep coming back because it's a very beautiful place. We enjoyed fishing at Berryhead. So peaceful and quiet.
