Disliked: Inadequate toilet/shower facilities, nowhere to walk dogs (even though I was told beforehand there was) misleading info on website, dogs running loose, traffic and airplane noise, broken fencing, massive stones on hard standing pitches, overcrowded on grass pitches.
Great site if you're looking for relaxation and a spot of fishing

Liked: Beautiful location, in amongst the trees. Fishing lakes are stunning, with loads of sport, over 40 fish in a 4 hour session with carp up to 4lb. Really nice staff who were always there to help.
Disliked: The site is directly under the flight path from East Midlands, and on occasion this was quite noisy.
First class place, excellent fishing and wonderful staff and owners

Liked: The site is always well kept and the owners are amazing, they are so friendly and the same goes for other visitors, we had a situation with a key locked in a car and other guests rallied to help get things sorted, first class.
This was our second visit and we will definitely be back before the season finishesDisliked: Nothing at all

Disliked: Pod smelled of rotting wood, needed to be aired. Dogs must me kept on leads but the owners wandered around free, even coming into the Pod. Pod door would not lock.
Only stayed 2 hours, waste of money

The smell is natural pine inside the pods which they are made off and unpainted .
As for sprite my dog going around his home with no lead on i think that is quite fair and reasonable as he lives there ,i would not lock him away like some zoo caged animal.

Disliked: Lack of facilities! No place to wash up, showers and loo very basic.

There are two washing-up stations on site one is next to the cafe building the other washing up sink is behind the camping field toilet block both have hot and cold running water .

Disliked: Caravans motor homes and tents arranged around the outer area of the green which is quite normal, although plot numbers were not evenly spaced, Some had a nice area others too close to the next for Privacy. we then found that as more people arrived and were positioned down the centre of the green it felt extremely cramped with
Little Privacy so on that basis we probably wouldn't return which is sad because it is a lovely site if plots were re worked and the centre left open.

i tried to help you by moving your booking from may free of charge and helping your lad to fish .
but like i said there is no meat allowed in the lakes and that rule is for all nobody is allowed to choose what fishing rules they ignore .
what do you mean when you say overcrowding on grass pitch you were on you own service pitch nowhere near the grass field ?
there are dog walks on site you can use the whole site to walk them as long as you clean up after them
