Liked: The new shower and toilet block was really clean and it was lovely to hear all the birds singing
Disliked: The site needs a bit of TLC bit scruffy and the chemical waste was filthy and leaking. The reception was never open

Liked: Visited for the second time, we will come back again if visiting this area. Spacious tent pitch, well maintained grass. From the tent it was easy to oversee our child in the playground, it has variety of activities. On one side of the site there is a short walk in the woods. New utilities block was clean. Importantly that quiet hour was honored by the guests.

Disliked: .reception not disabled friendly you must have someone who is able bodied with you
.reception holds only key for the disabled toilet and shower and must be retured every time so it means two people going to the toilet.
.very dusty and uneven for wheelchair users

Liked: Well spaced out pitches, quiet and peaceful, once the kids had calmed down.
Disliked: Upon arrival i found out i wasnt booked in, they also stated there was no electric pitches available and i hadnt paid for electric, on the pitchup booking form it stated "electric optional pitch" i was after electric..........so i had to go without for the 3 days i was away.
The main shower block was closed and had to shower in a container, it was adequate, but wasnt enough to cater for the amount of people on site.
There was never anybody in the office when they were need, for example the gate code pad fell apart and had to wait up to 20 mins for someone to come out and take a look.
There were electric pitches available all weekend so i was lied to by a member of staff, this i was willing to pay for on arrival.

Please note, Pitchup advertise our pitches as electric optional, it is therefore an optional extra that needs to be opted for when booking via this method. We have 113 EHU pitches, however, our licence is only for 75, so there are vacant pitches with EHU to the onlooker, which are not bookable and blocked off to increase space for other campers. If you require an electric hook-up you have to select the option. The newly installed, £100K facilities block is not a "container" and has more toilets, showers, sinks and pot wash facilities than the old shower block and more than the amount required for the capacity of the site. Someone was recorded on the site CCTV knocking the barrier key pad over with their car door, the barrier was manually raised less than 5 minutes later.
