Liked how big pitches were and how secure campsite was. Very quiet as well.

Would suggest more toilets

I feel like this place got some unfair reviews this past couple of weeks and we almost decided not to come after we had read them - if you're feeling the same way then would suggest you come here and see for yourself.

The site is really big with lots of room.

It was really quiet and peaceful even with the kids playing on a Friday night.

We heard no raves or music.

The lady on reception was super friendly and helpful, showing us direct to our pitch and answering my questions.

If there's not someone at reception when you arrive, then all you really need is the code for the two gates and the number of your pitch.

The shower/toilet block in the fields was really only a toilet block as the showers were locked. The showers next to house where the reception is were nice and I never saw a queue in the 2 days we were there.

There was a grey water waste point clearly marked.

They covered the mud entrance to the field we stayed in with stones when it got wet so it was easy to drive in.

This was one of the nicest campsites we stayed at on our trip. Was super close to Moors Valley where we took the kids each day.

Highly recommend.

I disliked nothing. This was really good value for money and a lovely site. I'm so glad we came and judged for ourselves as it made the end of our trip perfect.

*Flat pitches with tents/ campers pitched around the outside so plenty of space for little ones to play.

*Helpful staff!

* Toilets and showers near the reception were clean and perfectly adequate! (I was a little worried after reading some previous reviews but a heads up, the toilet block in far field wasn’t particularly nice or well looked after!)

* Great location, very nice pub a short walk away, supermarkets within a few miles and country park well worth a visit.

* Can tell the staff have been trying to improve it and seem to have made some good changes after comparing our stay to previous reviews. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

2 stage barrier system a little bit of a pain as needed to get out of the vehicle to enter numbers but does mean it’s a safe site. Repositioning the key pad would help massively!

The location.

Lacked decent facilities, 2 toilets for over 100 guests.Very old showers only 4 of them.Other block locked all weekend.Rave started on Saturday night and Gundry's Manager Andy refused a refund after no sleep, worst of all he said there had been no other complaints but the lady in office said she had lots of calls before we took it to Andy so that was a lie.We will never return here.

Most of the site was really run down. The toilet block we were directed to was in extremely poor condition; the doors didn't open and shut properly, the decking outside was rotting with holes in.
The entry to the field was like a bog, the gateway needed some stone in, I have no idea how the caravans managed to leave, luckily we could get our van out of a smaller gateway.
After one night our van had sunk into the ground. Glad we weren't staying any longer.

Initially it was very promising…

The road leading to the different pitches are just one Hugh pot hole after another , the amenities consist of 4 Toilets (2 men , 2 woman) 4 showers, unisex (1 was out of order) and really small…for the WHOLE site…the potential is there, come on Gundry Farm, all you need is a decent shower block and a few more toilets , sort the road out and it would pay for itself , you’re potentially sitting on a gold mine

Security was good

Nobody at reception at 3.40pm didn't see anybody all night,was texted gate code.
Toilet block not signed had to walk round looking for them & they where filthy.
Showers not signed either & they where filthy too.
Entrance to site had great big ruts & holes full of water.
You have to tip your grey waste into a ditch.
Didn't look like chemical waste point had been used in months, so I let you guess where people had been tipping it.
Water pressure non existent 15 minutes to fill aquaroll.

Rural location, cleanliness, peaceful location, walk to pub and shop.
