Good location for walking the fells around Blencathra & also close enough to Ullswater & Glenridding area.Disliked: Not really a dislike but cars need to be parked on the hard standing (for obvious reasons) which could mean having to constantly go back & forth or squeeze more things into your tent.
It also means that if others arrive when you are out you may not get parked as close as you were. Also people tend to pitch close to the parking which may get cramped at peak times.
Close proximity to the A66 means there is a constant hum of traffic but nothing that should detract from the experience.
Non of the above was a problem for me & I have already booked a return for next month.
