I came to Gill Head at the beginning of August with my godfather and my 18 month old. I enjoyed the site. I would highly recommend this site. I enjoyed the feel of it, the facilities were great and easily accessible. I returned back here two days ago with my best friend and my little boy again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The campsite as a real family feel to it and everyone including the owners were pleasant.

The pods we were staying in just faced onto the camping field which was not great.

Great surroundings on a working farm. Lovely views all around, particularly Blencathra.
Facilities excellent.
Had a gravel pitch, level and spacious.
Good pots washing area.
Great communal room with freezers, microwaves, TV and comfy seating.
Good central play area for kids.

Solo female traveller with my dog. Easy check in but felt rushed and not much information was given for anything extra such as walks or anything close by. Not a bad check in though, staff were friendly and the camp site was easily found.

Also felt safe on this campsite with being alone. Was between two families but also felt secure on the site in general with it being private land.

Everything was clean. Quiet and in the perfect spot for everything close by .

Some road noise from a66 but should have realised that from map.

The location was ideal for exploring ullswater and Keswick. Good size pitches, clean facilities and a play park for younger children

The pods are well designed, with good storage space despite being small. The beds were comfortable and the lights were great for reading in bed! The campsite had great facilities and lots of hot water.

Play area, communal areas were great to cook and eat when it rained.
