We all loved absolutely everything about this place. This is our 5th time coming and we will certainly be returning. The showers, toilets and all the facilities are so clean. Definitely the best campsite in the Lake District! The staff are so lovely, everyone at the campsite and who works on the farm are always so welcoming and smiley. Waking up and unzipping our tent to see the beautiful Blencathra really is just amazing. The views are unbelievable. Perfect for all ages. Can’t wait to be back again in a few weeks!

Probably not enough toilets when site is busy. Was waiting around for men’s toilets on several occasions and it wasn’t peak season

The camping pod was clean and comfortable. Heating worked well and did the trick on the colder nights! The site has a relaxed vibe, perfect for young families. My daughter had a blast playing in the natural plunge pool on the site. Great memories made.

Toilet block next to play park was not great (rarely had paper and unclean) so we avoided those but others were fine throughout the stay.

We stayed in the kipper cabin, absolutely fab. Lovely views and surrounded by nature. Second time I have visited and would definitely visit again. All the staff we spoke to were lovely. All facilities clean and tidy!

Only thing I could say was when booking it said there would be cooking equipment, there were utensils but no pots/pans. But shops not far so were able to grab some😊

Great location, play park for the kids and good size pitches. Kids love the peacock. This is our 4th year camping here.

Some issues with the hot water, which I understand was going to be fixed.

Toilets were dirty in touring area- blame this on the people using them.
Loud group of people next to our pitch- albeit having fun with music and drinking way past 11pm- however don't have a no music and no group rule if not sticking to it- its not fair on other visitors.

Relaxed, but respectful atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. Friendly owners. Amazing views. Quiet from 10pm. Family friendly. Peacocks and hens wandering around. Lovely location. Pods clean and spacious.

Pods could maybe do with a few more wall hooks and/or shelves to store small belongings.

Lovely location, grounds kept well, plenty of electric pitches, was told I could choose which one I would like when I arrived and was shown to the area. Little shop in reception, facilities were clean, extra toilets in a separate building. Little comfy area with sofas and tables and chairs, with kettles, toasters and microwaves, excellent addition.

Unfortunately they were having problems with the boilers so often no hot water, this is no fault of there own and a planned replacement was days away.

Wifi hub was right next to where we camped and it was not working outside of the building.

Clean and friendly site. Pods were warm and just as described. Great location. Gorgeous views.
