Great spacious camp site friendly staff. Very clean amenities.

The campsite was beautiful, all facilities very well maintained and clean. Great playground for kids. We stayed at one of the pods, it was spacious enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of storage under the beds. The best part was underfloor heating, kept us really warm over the night. We will definitely come back.

We love staying at Gill Head Farm! The pods are ideal for our family. We travel with two adult sons who have autism and it's hard to find suitable, inexpensive, accommodation but the layout of the pods at Gill head is perfect. Our last visit was for 5 nights and there's plenty room under the 'beds' for storing your bags. The deep overhang at the front keeps the rain away from the door and stayed, mostly dry, even in pretty heavy rain. Picnic table was helpful. Toilets and showers are always clean and tidy. The communal room was perfect when it was too wet to cook on our stove outside the pod. Fridge and freezer are really helpful. Washer and dryer are inexpensive & useful when staying for a few days. Adding a hanging space to dry could be useful but we just made our own makeshift 'line'. Location is perfect.

Midgies but there's not much can be done about them!

Fantastic 2nd stay and very accommodating and helpful owner. Views that will take your breath away. The facilities were brilliant again and has everything you could possibly require. If you are staying in a tent, there is absolutely no need at all for electric hook up. We charged devices in the communal room and on the go in the car, stored milk, butter and sandwich fillers in the fridge. Good value for money too. Thank you Gill Head for another wonderful stay, we can’t wait to come back again.

Love this site. We have been here many times and love the relaxed, friendly vibe. The family that run the site and farm are always so nice and helpful. Beautiful views and easy access to lovely walks and the surrounding areas. Site is respectful of quiet times in the main.

A good location for exploring the Lake District. The campsite is very clean, the toilets and showers work perfectly. The owners are very friendly.

Fantastic site in a great location for exploring the Northern Lake District.

Staff were friendly and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The addition of a communal common room was a welcome change from the tent in an evening.

Just be careful if following a Sat-Nav from Keswick as mine took me down a small road rather than waiting to turn towards Troutbeck off the main road.

Lovely campsite with fabulous views. Really nice touch with the communal area where there are facilities such as fridge, freezer, kettle and washing machine.

Really good play area for children too.

Toilets and showers clean.

Not being able to park right next to the tent meant you were looking at quite a lot of cars in the central section.
