What a lucky duck you''ll be with a stay at family- and pet-friendly Horseshoe Acres Campground. For there's an absolute load of stuff to do on and around the park, with activities for all ages arranged every weekend, and a smashing setting close to the southern region of the Green Mountain National Forest for hiking, boating, fishing and other outdoor adventures.

Music nights, T-shirt painting, derby days, fun runs and crafts of all sorts are on offer here to keep you energetically occupied... and then there's the pool, miniature golf, games room and playground... Also at your disposal are horseshoe pits and a shuffleboard area, courts for badminton and volleyball, and a group area with barbecue pit and firepit. And dance floor, so do make sure to strut your best moves: added bonus if any accompanying kids are fully mortified.

Horseshoe Acres is a mile from its nearest town, Andover, 20 minutes' drive from the Green Mountain National Forest, and within 10 minutes' drive of the Windsor County towns of Chester and Weston.

    It was a very nice campground. The owners were super nice and everything was clean. They had a great band playing Saturday night.

    Our campsite was right next to the pool and people kept walking through our site

Local attractions

All-weather days close by include shows at Weston Playhouse, within 10 minutes' drive, and exhibits and sales at Crow Hill Gallery, 15 minutes from Horseshow Acres. You could also mosey along to the indoor and outdoor activities of Okemo's Adventure Zone (25 minutes), where there's mountain coasting, mining, bungee jumping, a pool and a fitness centre.

Boating and fishing await at Lowell Lake State Park (15 minutes) over at Londonderry, a free entry park of over 200 acres. It includes the Lowell Lake Trail, a loop of about three and a half miles around the lake's shores, with views of the water and wetlands beyond. Another trail, the 11 miles of the West River Trail starts in South Londonderry 15 minutes away and runs along to Jamaica State Park.

More adrenalised adventures can be had at Bromley Adventure Park 20 minutes' drive away, where there are rides, zipwiring, skiing and loads more; skiing lessons are available for kids and adults new to the poles.

Changes to your holiday
Bookings cannot be amended within 1 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a $5.00 fee.

Admission
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs
A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Extras
A charge of $0.25 applies for the use of the shower.
Facilities/activities including Mini Golf, Paddle Boat, Pool Table, Cycle Rental are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.
Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General
A state-issued fishing license is required (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).
Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
Entertainment and activities are available between 05/25 and 10/10.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy
No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pool
Only park guests are authorized to use the pool.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 05/25 and 09/05 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. between 05/15 - 06/19 and 09/04 - 10/15.
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. between 06/20 and 09/04.
Reception is unmanned after 4:30 p.m.. Please inform the park while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety
Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.

Taxes
This area is not subject to city tax.

Vehicles
No vehicle movement between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..

Visitors
Visitors must leave the premises by 10 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
