Liked: Arrival staff, comfortable cabin, onsite facilities

Disliked: Prepaying the stay via the online check-in system and getting confirmation of payment yet the front desk advise that it's not paid. When booking through pitch up not being provided with the local reservation number of the campground.

Liked: Staff very helpful and shower blocks very clean. Pool immaculate. Good choice at the restaurant. Short walk to the beach.

Disliked: The area was very run down on approach to the campsite. The spaces are not numbered or allocated so if you moved your van to go out for the day you may end up in another pitch for the night. Shop had basic supplies mainly junk food!

Liked: Staff friendly and helpful, pitches a good size. Never any trouble getting a shower cubicle.

Disliked: Generally a tired site and needs some attention. Who thought it was a good idea to place toilet tissue outside of the cubicle. One toilet tissue applicator for all cubicles. Never seen that before

Liked: Amabilité de l'accueil. Propreteté des installations sanitaires.Camping ombragé. Proximité de l'arrêt du bus pour accéder au métro. Grande piscine très agréable.

Disliked: L'entrée du camping : chemin défoncé. Des installations sanitaires en contre bas: des personnes agés nous ont exprimées leurs difficulté à y accéder. Mauvaises distributions des bornes électriques: rallonges nécessaires pour s'y brancher et obliger de passer sur les emplacements voisins.

Liked: During our visit in September the site was busy but the excellent facilities did not become swamped. The pool and bar area were popular and we did not manage to visit the restaurant. Washing facilities were well managed, clean and well maintained. As a disabled person I was happy to have my own room, this really helps. The site is located close to the beach and is not a silly distance from Porto either. The reception staff were happy to organise taxis into the city for us to avoid parking issues. All in all a good stay. Next time the beach beckons!

Local attractions

Several beaches are close by, including Angeiras beach opposite the site, Labruge beach two kilometres north and São Paio beach within three and a half kilometres in the same direction. The dunes of Mindelo are also worth their eight-kilometre trip for a flit around their ornithological reserve. Take the bus from outside the site to reach Porto in about an hour, to mooch around its many attractions including the Palácio da Bolsa, the Fundação de Serralves and the historic Ribeira area, with its many bars dishing up local cuisine. The city's most famed of course for its port wine (the clue is in the name), so wander around the plentiful port cellars too, to see how it's all made and to sample the many different and mighty tasty varieties. If you now have a thirst for learning more about Portugal's wine, take a day trip to the Douro Valley to visit the vineyards there surrounded by their spectacular scenery. Other destinations for day trips include the lively city of Braga and its 12th-century cathedral, and Guimarães, to take a cable car ride over the historic streets. Both cities are around 50 kilometres away.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a €10.00 ($10.92) fee.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Entertainment and activities are available between 07/01 and 09/01.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
The bar is open between 02/01 and 12/31.
The grocery shop is open between 03/01 and 10/31.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The restaurant is open between 02/01 and 12/31.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: €100.00 ($109.15) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.

Swimsuits are required and cut-offs or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 03/23 and 10/13 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception

Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. between 06/16 and 09/13.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
