Just look at that for a Tuscany sunset – and the scenery and setting around Camping Le Tamerici are pretty spectacular too… This family-friendly Livorono site is between pine forest and sea, two kilometres from the centre of Cecina, about 600 metres from a golden sandy beach and around a kilometre from the town's harbour. Watersports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing, and cultural attractions including museums and several vineyards are all in the surrounding area; further afield but easily accessible for day trips are the fab historic Tuscan settlements of Pisa, San Gimignano and Lucca (within 60 to 80 kilometres). The Acqua Village de Cecina waterpark and Parco Gallorose zoo are both within a couple of kilometres. And as for what's around on site? Have your tresses perfectly tamed for your Tuscany holiday at the Camping Le Tamerici on-site hairdresser, or have it all messed up again by playing around in that splendid-looking pool. There's also a mini pool for kids, a playground, tennis and beach volleyball courts, table tennis, and a games room with arcade games, along with a full programme of activities and entertainment for kids and adults in high season. Tuscan cuisine and cool holiday drinks? Make the full acquaintance of both at the pool bar and the restaurant/ pizzeria with takeaway service, or pick up produce at the mini market to sizzle at the barbecue areas against that gorgeous sunset .

Local attractions

Plenty of family-friendly and outdoor options for all tastes are within a few kilometres of the site, including making a splash close to home at the Acqua Village de Cecina waterpark, 750 metres away; getting up close with the critters of Parco Gallorose zoo (two kilometres), and tackling some Tuscany surfing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, parasailing and kitesurfing, all available within three kilometres. The castle, shops and vineyards of fab Bolgheri are 15 kilometres away, in an old town famed throughout Italy – and worldwide – for its Etruscan wines: this place may be teeny, but it has mighty tasty vino. A few kilometres from Bolgheri is Castagneto Carducci, a hillside town with medieval castle. The thermal baths of Sassetta 35 kilometres away have spa water pools of temperatures up to 38°C, a sauna and a good range of wellness treatments; you could also pamper your good self among the thalassotherapy of Marina di Castagneto, or have a dip in the small thermal lake of Calidario in Venturina. For day trips, the ferry from to Elba from Piombino is 40 kilometres away, Pisa 60, San Gimignano 70 and Lucca 80.

Liked: Super Campingplatz.Die Anlage ist Super gepflegt und wird mehrmals am Tag gereinigt. Die verschiedensten Animationen sind hervorragend. Es war der beste Campingplatz den wir bisher besucht haben. Wir werden da aufjedenfall nochmal hinfahren.

Liked: Veel schaduwplaatsen, dichtbij een fijn strand en lekkere pizza's in het restaurant.

Disliked: Geen licht op de wc- en douchehokjes, terwijl deze donker waren (zelfs overdag).

Liked: Gode faciliteter. Venligt personale. Dejligt at måtte bruge området efter udtjekning. Rent og pænt overalt og også på køkken og badeområder. Dejligt med både bazar og minimarked. Begge veludstyret. Fin restaurant med sødt personale.

Disliked: Ærgerligt at der ikke var bedre sidde pladser, når man rejser kun med telt og dermed ikke selv har bord og stole. Ærgerligt at liggestole ved pool var så dyre.

Liked: La disposizione del campeggio è delle piazzole, a misura in base al mezzo (camper, roulotte, tenda..) Zona piscina molto bella e market ben fornito

Disliked: Troppi cani, avendo un figlio autistico che non tollera il tipo di frequenza dell'abbaiare, siamo incappati in una zona con cani rumorosi e spesso si chiudeva nel camper per non sentire il rumoree npk voleva uscire. Sarebbe utile nei campeggi dove accettano i cani, che ci fosse la possibilità di scegliere una zona dove non sono presenti.
