Posada del Parque is an eco-friendly, sustainable site on the estate of the Santa Adele de Dumuño five kilometres north of the coastal city of Concón: just off the F30E road that connects Concón with Quintero, it's easy accessible but has a quiet rural atmosphere for restful Chilean times.

The surrounding area is tiptop for hikes among varying landscapes, with trails winding through wetlands, forest and sand dunes. It's a fab place for spotting birds and other wildlife too: the site runs free birdwatching tours with expert guides as well as other activities including guided hikes, cycle rides, horse riding and kayak excursions.

The on-site restaurant serves both Chilean and international dishes, or you can hire a barbecue to sort your own eats. After that, a communal firepit is lit nightly where guests and the site owners can gather round to have a glass or two of wine.

Guests have access to all 40 hectares of the park.

Local attractions

The friendly team at Posada del Parque can get you saddled up for horse rides, paddled up for kayaking, pedalled up for mountain biking and organise hiking and birdwatching excursions, right from the site. The surrounding Mantagua wetlands are prime turf for diehard twitchers and casual spotters alike, while the forested hills and craggy peaks of La Campana National Park, an hour's drive away, are a top destination for those seeking views and heights.

More extreme diversions, from go-karting to paragliding and skydiving, can be found in Viña del Mar, half an hour away, while in Concón, 10 minutes away, you can hire boat trips to go wildlife spotting on the Aconcagua river.

Whether you view the beach as somewhere to laze or get energetic on the waves, you've got plenty of options on this stretch of the coast: sandyachting, sea-fishing trips, sunbathing… take your pick at sandy spots like Quintero (20 minutes) and Viña del Mar.

For days off the beach, the colourful old fishing village of Horcon, 20 minutes away, has become a vibey hangout for artists, while Viña del Mar and next-door Valparaíso (45 minutes) offer elegant parks alongside museums and art galleries, smart restaurants and bars plus promenades and beach walks.

No refunds within 4 days of arrival date.

7-5 days before arrival: 50% of your payment of balance will be retained.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancelations and for your property/injury whilst away.

Changes to your holiday
Bookings cannot be amended within 4 day(s) of arrival.

Admission
Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General
Entertainment and activities are available between 01/02 and 12/31.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
Radio, music players are not permitted.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The restaurant is open between 01/02 and 12/30.
The spa is open between 01/01 and 12/31.

Occupancy
No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. between 03/01 - 04/12 and 04/16 - 05/27.

Safety
Firearms are not permitted.

Sites
Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
You must follow management instructions when setting up your tent/rig and related equipment.

Vehicles
Only one car is to be parked at the site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Visitors
Visitors are not permitted on site.
Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must leave the premises by 8:30 p.m..
