General

  • Small rural site on an 11-acre farm, half a mile from Dihewyd
  • Motorbiker friendly: groups welcome
  • A 15-minute drive from the coast at Aberaeron and Cardigan Bay

Motorbikers – Maesymeillion Farm is the place for you. As it is for mountain bikers, hardy hikers, birdwatchers, horse riders, runners, swimmers and walkers... as the friendly team point out, the farm is very much an excellent base for outdoor adventures of all sorts.

More placid pursuits are easily pursued too, as Maesymeillion Farm is in prime position for dolphin spotting and beach days around the Cardigan coast: the seaside town of Aberaeron and the wildlife haven of Cardigan Bay are 15 minutes’ drive away. And for those guests who like hols to be so laidback as to be almost horizontal, even more placid times are easily had on site, as this is a top stargazing spot too and in a setting of spectacular views across land and sea.

The farm welcomes everyone from solo travellers to families to motorbike groups – and dogs. It’s a peaceful place to come back to after a day out and about, set rurally in a quiet area on 11 acres of land at at 1,000 feet above sea level. Although it’s lushly remote, the farm has easy access to main roads and is only half a mile from its local village of Dihewyd; Lampeter is 20 minutes’ drive away.

Amenities on site include showers, toilets, disabled facilities, a washing-up area, chemical disposal and free wifi. Barbecues and campfires are allowed.

What a stunning picture for sure. That is why we love to be in this part of the world. Thank you for your feedback it was great to see you enjoyed yourself. We are currently working on our facilities to make them better for our guests so hopefully any points raised with guests is being addressed at our side. We want to continue to offer a site which is quiet and friendly so dont want to get either too big nor too commercialized so the facilities will only develop in line with our ethos which we note is what has attracted you to us and made your stay enjoyable, so thank you again for your feedback. We truly hope that you come back and stay with us again in the future. Thank you :) x

Wonderful location and view. Really lovely people who run it we met Chris, Chris and Chris! Tea and coffee when you arrive we were lucky enough to be there when they were cooking for some biker groups so we had breakfast every morning! Great field to walk your dog and you can't go camping without a fire at night. Chris checked on us to make sure everything was ok at night too. Lovely friendly campers all around us made it a fantastic weekend. We will definitely be back.

Thank you Mandie for your feedback regarding our site and facilities. We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit with us and that you felt relaxed enough to chill out and relax.
For the future we are considering such things as breakfasts, evening meals, toilets/showers and dog walking facilities. We do also have three bridleways within a short walk of our premises with a further amount around the village. So for dog walkers you can cover some great miles. Also we are close to the coastal path and walks around the National Trust Llanerchaeron house where there is a great river that dogs love.

We hope that we can see you again in the future. Take care.

We stayed on the bank holiday weekend and the facilities were busy - unisex bathroom with two toilets and two showers.

From the manager...

Thank you Ryan for your feedback, we appreciate that we were busy over the bank holidays. We did take in extra toilets in the way of portaloos which were delivered to site and we opened up our four other showers at the rear of the premises.

We are sorry that maybe this information did not get communicated to you very effectively during your stay.

With regards to the unisex toilets, this is something that we are trying to address for next year, when we open the ladies toilets and showers as we appreciate that it is not the best scenario to have unisex toilets. However, bearing in mind that we have only been on pitch up for approx 8 weeks we are learning alot about guest needs and where are failings are and this is being used to aid our developments.

We are sorry that you do not consider us to be a site that you would wish to visit again or recommend to your friends, but thank you for your frank feedback which will be used to develop ourselves and this may change your mind in the future

This was a really friendly site. Basic facilities but all that you need! They were kept spotlessly clean and the owner was such a helpful lady. We were given a drink on arrival and shown to our pitch and around the site. The location is stunning as are the views. Need to drive to get to places, but that wasn’t an issue for us. We will definitely return to this delightful site.

All in all a great place to stay and the staff are great too.

From the manager...

Thank you so much for taking to time to write feedback about our site and the stay that you had with us. We do appreciate that it was a busy time of the year and we are glad that we did not disappoint you in any way.

We did offer breakfasts to our campers on the bank holiday weekend as we were cooking for our group guests who were with us on their motorbikes and we believed that some of our campers may wish to join us for food rather than cook for themselves. We are pleased that you enjoyed the food and due to your thoughts and feedback we are now looking at maybe making this a fixture for the future.

Thank you again for taking the time out of your busy schedule to provide us with feedback, we do appreciate it and we hope to see you again in the future

From the manager...

Thank you for your lovely feedback to us, we do appreciate you taking the time to provide us with the feedback which is used in order to improve our services to you.

We are taking on board the feedback regarding the facilities such as the toilets (and will be sorting out the ladies toilet for next year) and also we will look into all of our provision to ensure that they are in line with the needs of the guests who stay with us.

Our cleanliness is something that we are working on especially with the toilets and we feel that this will improve in the future when we split the toilets into ladies and gents.

Your feedback is invaluable and therefore will be used for the future to improve ourselves.

We hope that should you be back in the future that you will see that we have added to our services offered to make your stay so much more enjoyable with us.
