Seaside, castles, spectacular views. a secluded setting – and might you fancy some nearby ziplining, surfing and underground trampolining too? All are up for grabs at Conwy Holiday Park, a family-friendly site in a rural setting just over a mile from the walled town of Conwy, with spectacular views over the Conwy estuary and Snowdonia National Park. The beaches and seaside town of Llandudno are less than five miles away. Base yourself here to find loads to do in the surrounding area, from visiting historic castles to golfing among smashing scenery to hiking and cycling in Snowdonia National Park. It's also 14 miles from here to the ziplines of Betws-y-Coed, next to the underground trampoline park Bounce Below: jump to it, it's very fab. Conwy's well set up with facilities and amenities for family hols, including a bar, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and nifty additions including wifi access, a launderette with washing machines and tumble dryer, and a washing-up area. The amenities blocks are heated in low season and have showers, toilets and disabled access. Shops, restaurants, real ale pubs and lipsmacking fish and chips can all be had in nearby Conwy town.

Local attractions

Get out into the Conwy and north Wales countryside for all manner of days out from here, with heaps to do within easy day trip distance. The old town of Conwy just over a mile from the park is most famed for its castle and its town walls; there's also a medieval watchtower, ancient abbey, Telford-designed 19th-century bridge, and the Guinness Book of Records's 'Smallest House in Great Britain', on the quay. Several stately homes and castles are within easy reach, such as Beaumaris and Caernarfon, both around 20 miles away. It's also easy to get to the village of Betws-y-Coed, 14 miles away, and the surrounding forests full of walking and mountain bike paths for all abilities. 25 miles away, dive into the highlights of Blaenau Ffestiniog, including the Llechwedd Slate Caverns and the famed narrow gauge railway. Golfers have several courses to pick from in the surrounding area, including some with smashing sea views. For angling, try your luck sea fishing from Conwy or in one of Snowdonia's many lakes such as Trawsfynydd Lake, 40 miles away. If you'd rather pedal or hike, Snowdonia National Park five miles from the site has walking and cycle paths for all abilities. Feeling more adventurous? Head to the world’s biggest inland wave lagoon at Surf Snowdonia eight miles away, or shoot along to ZipWorld in Betws-y-Coed for a range of ziplines including one that catapults along at up to 100mph. Next to this, Bounce Below is an underground trampoline park in the old slate caverns.
