Trevornick Holiday Park: Outdoor heated swimming pool

General

  • Family-friendly site by the sandy beach at Holywell Bay
  • A 10-minute drive from the beaches at Perranporth and Fistral
  • Spa, fishing lakes, heated pool and a range of bars and restaurants

Book a coastal Cornish stay at Trevornick Holiday Park, set up to cater for the whole family: this well-equipped site will accommodate you doing as much (or as little) as you please on holiday.

Alongside luxury necessities including toilet/shower blocks, family bathrooms, a launderette and a grocery shop, Trevornick has a wide range of extras for all ages such as an outdoor heated pool, a Jacuzzi, a toddlers' pool, a solarium and a tranquillity spa.

Tee off on the 18-hole pitch and putt and par-three golf courses, soak up views of the beach made famous by BBC’s Poldark, and try your hand at the miniature golf course… or sit back at one of Trevornick’s fishing ponds: there are three to try your luck at.

Dogs are catered for at Trevornick too: all accommodation types have dog-friendly options, there's an on-site dog-walking field, and a dog wash shower station was newly added in 2019.

It's always worth taking note of what facilities are open during the different seasons here, as things vary according to the time of year. If you go during peak time, book yourself into the Tranquility Spa for a treatment (or two)… the kids won’t even notice you’re gone while they're at the new forest trail – with underground tunnel and zipwire.

This is lovely site, Great size pitches, well laid out with superb facilities and really big heated pool. We only had 3 nights there but will definitely return. The golf course looks great and I'm sure a bit of a challenge, the beach is absolutely beautiful, huge, pure white sand and a lifeguard on duty, it is bit of a walk however and could be a little difficult if carrying a lot of stuff. Staff were great, cheerful and friendly and always happy to help. The club house is a good venue with decent drinks selection, It was obvious that the entertainment is just getting up and going again following COVID as it was pretty low key still and the service a little slow, again though the staff were great and doing all they could to make sure everyone was happy.
Over all a fantastic place and cant wait to go back.

What can i say about this lovely campsite apart from it was FANTASTIC.
Arrived on the Monday afternoon and the check in was very quick and seamless.
I was escorted to my pitch so no having to look around to find where I was staying.
The pitch was very big and the grass was neat and tidy.
Electric hook-up was fine and despite using toasters/kettles etc it never tripped out once.
Free wifi was quite good too which kept me connected and even managed to stream the England v Scotland match although after I had watched it i nwished the internet had gone off :)

The shower blocks were lovely and kept very clean also the washing up sinks were very handy inside the shower block.

All in all a very good camp site and well worth a visit.

We were soo impressed. I had to convince the Mrs to go to a big site. She/we were not disappointed. My little boy loved it too. There were plenty of showers, toilets and washing up stations. All cleaned regularly. Our shower/wash up/toilet block seemed brand new and was powered by solar so thumbs up from me. Bin stores, concrete blocks for BBQ, fresh water all on hand. Outdoor swimming pool was so clean and warm, they restricted numbers so wasn’t busy, big pool for adults and a little one for the boy! Little shop had a great selection when we ran out of essentials. Power on our pitch really helped. The booking process and checkout were all seem less. The campsite was patrolled, staff presence all the time so felt safe and secure. We would definitely consider returning if we were this way again. So amazed and impressed for the price. One night my boy and I stayed up and watched the moon and stars. So many memories created for him and us. Thank you.

Avoid if you like to chose your own pitch and have space around, otherwise, it is an excellent campsite.
The campsite is really good with level pitches, very clean and plenty of toilet facilities, excellent swimming pool specially for the kids and direct access to the beach. I cannot fault any of that and it deserves a higher rating than 2. However, they don't let you select your own pitch and cram people in the same areas when there is plenty, and I mean completely empty rows of pitches available. We were the unlucky ones and had noisy neighbours going on until 1am for a couple of nights which really put a damper on our stay. If they had allowed us to change our pitch, as we requested at arrival, I would had given this campsite 5 stars.

Local attractions

Backdrops don’t come much better than Trevornick… overlooking Gull Rocks and with National Trust-protected Holywell Bay beach steps away making up a mile-long stretch of sand, dunes, rockpools and waves. A surf school is a couple of minutes' drive from the park (or about 20 minutes' hike via the South West Coast Path).

And then… onto Fistral beach (10 minutes), the famed setting of the Boardmasters festival and a fine spot to stop off at even if you're not into the surf. Close to Fistral and about a 15-minute drive from Trevornick await Newquay Aquarium and Newquay Zoo, as well as the town's restaurants and shops… and surf shops if you seek to buy or hire more kit.

The Eden Project is about a 40-minute drive from Trevornick, just on the opposite side of the peninsula via the A30; make a day of it and drive an extra 15 minutes down the road to Carlyon Bay while you’re there so you can say you’ve seen the ocean from both sides. Head south from Trevornick for an hour or so to arrive at Land’s End for photos, or drive half an hour for photoshoots at Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps.

Also make some time for Falmouth’s excellent maritime museum (45 minutes) and the National Trust Elizabethan house Trerice (15 minutes) for further peaceful times indoors.
