Liked: Fabulous site, I feel so lucky we found it. Lovely big level pitches, idyllic surroundings, toilet block and washing up facilities were lovely, clean, and well stocked. The site owner Sam is an absolute delight too.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Sam came and introduced herself and welcomed us as we were setting up camp for the night. Explained where the facilities were with a notice board of local food, activities and precious campers art work. Large space for each family pitch, working farm with plenty of wake up calls from the animals ... especially at 4am and the Cockerell.
Disliked: No hot water to clean the pots with. Also the bins, and bbq ash bin overflowing

From the manager: Hiya, Thank you for your feedback. I just wanted to note that we don't advertise hot water and it states on our advert that hot water isn't supplied, however this is something we are looking into for the future as the campsite is growing. Also our 3 bins and recycling get emptied and removed on a daily basis, however we do wait till all our departures have departed to gather everything up in 1 go, but always done and ready for people either staying or arriving. Thank you Sam

Liked: Absolutely loved our stay. As amateurs we booked an electric pitch with no idea what we were doing ! Sam was amazing and helped us get set up. This is a wonderful site with clean toilets and communal area. There is a communal fridge freezer which was so handy. We had a great time and the customer service was unbeatable, Sam was on hand at the drop of a text even at 9pm asking for fire logs (which were a bargain for £10 for a huge bag). If you want to relax and just enjoy family time and the simple life look no further. I highly recommend.

Liked: We loved the ease of this campsite. It's just a field that you park up in. We stayed 1 night either side of our trip to France. On the way there there were quite a few other campers but it was quiet. On the way back we practically had the place to ourselves with only 1 campervan on the site. Our kids loved the goats, horses and ponies! The toilets are nice and clean. There are no showers but we were aware of this. We went to the local pub - the Otterington Shorthorn for food on both stays and it was excellent! Traditional English pub with really good food. We would definitely use this campsite again.

Liked: Quiet View from the farm Animals
Disliked: Only 1 electric point that was too far from our tent and we paid for a pitch with electricity
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Hi Kenny, I am sorry to read that you struggled reaching the electricity, this has never been a problem before, our dual electric points are usually reachable with the standard hook up cables, as our electric points are all within a maximum of 8m from centre of pitch to hook up. On my welcome text, it states if you need anything or have any concerns please don't hesitate to contact myself, I do truly wish you had as I could of helped you have a more enjoyable weekend with a longer cable or an extension, which I keep on site for emergencies. Many thanks Sam
