Beautiful location and great walks. Lovely hosts, showers were hot and cute pigs and goats!

The dogs whilst very cute, were too much. They made putting our tent up very difficult as they wouldn't leave us alone and got in the way the whole time. We had to always put food in the car to keep it out their way.

We fully expected a working farm environment, but chainsaw noise next to where we camped all day did ruin the tranquility. Probably more peaceful at a weekend.

The facilities were quite disappointing, very basic and no hot water in sinks or for washing up and only toilet roll to dry your hands.

Very friendly owner, 4 different sites to pitch in, 3 of which have wonderful views, and close to lake windermere!

Could be more facilities, only 2 gents toilets and 3 gents showers gets crowded at peak times.

The old railway goods wagons were really comfortable, the views and walks were spectacular. Meeting all the animals was fun as well!

Great views, friendly farm animals, comfortable facilities, and a flat pitch, bring a mallet for the tent pegs :)

I loved our stay here. The views were stunning. The atmosphere peaceful and laid back. I loved the dogs running round. The showers and toilets were not modern but I prefer a more rustic and authentic experience - took me back to my childhood. The lady who runs the site was very helpful and friendly.

Super views across the valley. Generally peaceful & quiet. Relaxed atmosphere. Easy to extend the stay. Nice to have animals roaming about.

Expected straightforward access to the disused railway line footpath, not quite a long walk - either up a steep hill or down a slope & then up through the woods. Warm water tap for washing up is in a very strange place. Lacked warm water in sinks in toilet areas.

Good facilities
There are a few fields that you can choose from so it feels very private and personalised to what you like. Insane views.
Very relaxed and check in was very informative and smooth. We would definitely stay there again. It is quite remote, the closest supermarket is 20 minutes in the car. There is a small village 5 minutes drive away but there isn’t much there apart from a few pubs and local shops. Easily accessible for lots of walks.
Overall lovely place to stay.
