Liked: What a lovely, quiet friendly place to enjoy the countryside. The pub was 10 minutes walk down the road followed by watching the stars due to the dark skies. Llamas's were funny too!

Liked: The views are incredible, staff are lovely and went out of their way to help me and get me some wood for my fire pit. Said I can happily use their kettles etc if I needed. The toilets were nice and clean and so was the kitchen area. It’s a great site if you want peace and quiet because the only place you can get WiFi was in the building. I could have my bike next to my tent which was great for peace of mind
Disliked: Got a bit confused where I could camp when I first arrived. If coming by motorcycle be aware it is a gravel track all the way down. The only down side was I camped on the farm side and the animals never slept so kept waking me up until I put ear plugs in.

Yes, care does need to be taken coming down the lane. It's steep with a bend at the bottom and although it is tarmac on the steep bit, it goes into 2 cement tracks at the fist bit near the bottom, with gravel either side on the second bend so extra care is needed if you arrive by bike.
So sorry the animals had a noisy night - lucky you had earplugs!

Liked: Informal campsite, beautifully sited between buttercup filled meadows that were teaming with birds and their newly hatched chicks (sad to see an idiot chasing after his out of control dog through said meadow…. lead in hand. Theres a reason you are asked to keep them leashed. Alll of them, even yours). Parked under a shady tree on first night, and in the corner between the neadows on the second night. Charmed by a mother duck leading her brood through the campsite, and a moorhen running along the top of the dyke. Friendly owner, friendly goats, clean loos. Would stay again.
Disliked: Not a dislike as such, but id have stayed longer if there was a shower!

Liked: Place was gorgeous , just far enough away from the village to feel like we were out in middle of no where, river a quick 2 min walk away so no midges on site , hosts are great and laid back a very relaxing night away thankyou

Liked: Great little site for those that like to get away from the hassle and bustle of larger campsites.
Plenty of space to spread out and you are not going to feel on top of your neighbours.
Excellent pub 10 minutes walk away. Fish and chip van on Friday night.
Disliked: No shower (an outdoor one would be nice addition to the site).
