The site, the facilities and the activities.

The cafe and shop had minimal choice but ok.

The staff were very helpful and polite, and they showed concern at the dogs wandering around. But they had the centre to run.

There were a lot of dogs, not under control & off leads wandering around, they did not put the fires pits out at they were left to burn out!

Small site with a small playground nice and close access to the water activities (apparently no discounts or special arrangements for site residents). Close to the village of Hatfield which has amenities and also to M18 for easy travel to region.

The facilities are pretty basic with only one shower block which was generally sufficient for the number of days. The toilet/shower rooms are poorly designed meaning they were almost constantly filthy. The provision of a floor squeegee in each room would have helped. Little things like the hand dryer mounted directly in front of the toilet meant I bumped my head each time I got off the toilet and the toilet roll holders poor design meant toilet paper came out in shreds and frequently found others had left bits in the floor.
The biggest problem was none of the rules of the site seemed to be enforced. There was frequently music, gatherings, etc past ‘lights out’; rubbish left in a fire fighting box instead of put in the bins (which were themselves insufficient and lacking any recycling provision); ball games played between tents. On the first evening our neighbours were smoking cannabis and on another night police were called to a disturbance between the residents of a different neighbouring tent (accept that staff couldn’t prevent either but the absence of any security or enforcing of rules probably didn’t help).
The ‘club house’ appeared very lacking and it was disappointing that there was no deal/discount for the adjoining water activities.

Spacious pitches, easy to find, good shower blocks, activities were fantastic.

Been a few times as it’s relatively close to us.

Bathrooms were absolutely filthy, we’ve been multiple times before and they’ve always been spotless, but this time they were vile. It’s definitely put me off coming again which is a shame. Pitch we was allocated was not fit for a tent as it was concrete, however they did eventually allocate us a different pitch.

Lovely campsite, full of trees and nature and so much to do on the lake

Great pitches, well laid out and good space. Good facilities available.

Road noise from the M18 is quite obvious if you are not used to constant road noise.

I loved the whole experience. There was plenty for the children to do even if u didn't want to take part in the water sports. The staff was great. We will definitely becoming back next summer.
