Disliked: Very run down and neglected. Unkept and unclean facilities which we felt we couldn’t use. Very expensive compared to other sites. The whole site is very poorly drained so our caravan was a mucky mess. Such a shame as the site has so much potential

Liked: Very quiet, large pitch with no one else in sight.Good view of the lake, hills and sea.
Disliked: Not as modern and up to date as we expected. Everything seemed a bit worn out and in need of a refresh. There was no hot water on our first night- apparently the boiler was broken but they didn’t tell us and did not refund the £1 for a cold shower!!
Nobody offered us a wi fi code and there was none detected at our pitch.
Apparently there are no fish in the trout lake so don’t go there for the fishing!!
The way they describe the site we expected a bit more in terms of functioning facilities. If you are happy for a quiet site with basic facilities then it is great but their description suggests a lot more!!

Liked: Erm…. Nothing
Disliked: Utterly devastated when we arrived. In what is one of the most beautiful areas of Northern Ireland, this site has so much potential, but unfortunately the reality could not have been further from this. The owner is also passive aggressive as you can see by reading some of the replies to other negative reviews. The site is unkept, run down and felt like I was camping in a scrap yard. Honestly, avoid at all costs!
This review is linked to the review beside it there were no cross words exchanged but both lots didn't want to put leads on their dogs or keep them away from other tents owners close to them, their dogs were aggressive to other campers and they were told four times to keep them under control, they even included two pictures of temporary bins which were left for them so that they didn't have to walk too far as we had only opened for the season and the bin company had mistakenly brought only two large commercial bins, they were made aware of this.

Thank you for the review and sorry you found the boiler had broken down, about 10.00 that morning a young lady from the upper tent pitches informed us that the water in the shower was not very warm, we tried to make quick repairs to the boiler but that wasn't working so within 2 hours of being informed we had purchased a new boiler and by 12.30 that morning it was fitted, so why instead of taking a note about it to complain you could have informed us and we would have let you use the showers in the guesthouse like we did with a few other people as for the £1 if you forward on your bank details I will put it in your account,
As for WiFi there is no codes to log on, and as for the fishing lakes there is fish there but because of some weed that got up during the COVID the fishing could be difficult at the moment anyhow you wanted to bait fish which we never offered.
