Liked: Really friendly staff, showers were powerful and hot. Great position and view were lovely.
Disliked: Not really a dislike as it was sorted as soon as the management was told, but they have chemical toilets, which stopped working one evening.

Liked: Location - perfect for the Chase visitor center.. Extra perfect for the childrens trails - literally across the road from the corner of the field!
Facilities - shop with basic camping essentials, snacks, ice creams, coffee/tea. 4 showers , good toilets.
Plenty of space - great for children to play football/cricket/ throw frisbees etc...

Liked: The pitch was very green and flat, the views were lovely and the pop up shop was well stocked.
Disliked: A big crowd very close to our pitch were playing loud music till late, keeping us and everyone up. There was also a strong smell of cannabis coming from them. No staff on site overnight to complain to which I felt unusual given the size of the site.
The toilets were also very dirty and smelly with two of the women's being blocked every morning.
The showers were also very small and dirty, meaning changing was uncomfortable.

The campsite owners were hugely accomodating, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There was an onsite shop and on Sunday night a quiz (we didn't end up doing, but looked good fun). All at the same time as being in a very large open field where you're not camped on top of each other. The toilets were clean at all times and the showers were great.
It is perfectly placed for bike riding, Gruffalo/Zog trail and Go Ape. Being able to walk/bike over in less than 5 minutes was fantastic with our tribe of children.
We cannot say enough good things about this site, will definitley be camping there next year.

Hello,
Had we been made aware of these issues, they would have been resolved during your stay. We have a zero tolerance policy for the use of ilicit substances on our site. There were multiple staff members stopping on site during your stay but as it's a large site, we aren't necessarily aware of issues unless told. Our landline also redirects to the out of hours warden once the shop is shut who will coordinate efforts to resolve any issues.
Both the toilets and showers are thourghly cleaned twice daily over the weekend and once daily during the week as well as checks throughout the day. Unfortunately, toilets do occasionally get blocked and as soon as we're aware, we do unblock them.
