Friendly owners, immaculate pitches and facilities, a well stocked shop (at reasonable prices). We loved the new electric system (pay for what you use) and was pleasantly surprised to get some money back. The owners work super hard and they have the site looking wonderful. A designated area to borrow books, games, dvds and cds aswell as a few things like boards for the beach. Never been on a site that has a dishwasher and although we didn't use it, I thought it was a great added extra. Will definitely be returning.

Nearest beach is walkable but small roads and no paths made it hard.

The site looks very welcoming from the road. It is impeccably kept, the whole site is spotless. The lady owner was very welcoming on arrival and showed us to our pitch. The site is in an area well known to us and in very close to a lovely cafe called the Cherry Picked in Sarnau.

A few things about our stay would prevent us going back. We paid £2.50 per night for our dogs and as such would have expected facilities to exercise them. When I asked the lady owner about exercise facilities, she apologized and explained she walked her dog up and down the lane. This was really not a suitable alternative, surely if you are going to charge what I feel is quite a large amount for a dog, then a site should provide some services.Secondly, we were asked to position our caravan to the left of the hard standing facing onto the road, which we did. However when we put the awning up , there was no room to put the car alongside. Neither was there room to position the car in front of the caravan without jutting onto the road and no parking was allowed on the grass areas alongside the pitches. The gentleman owner had asked us to move the car which had two wheels on the grass when we arrived. He explained it would churn up the ground , a bit ridiculous when the ground was baked solid after 4 weeks of warm dry weather. Basically, the pitch was not really big enough for our twin axle caravan. It was very quiet on the weekend we stayed, so it was ok, but if it had been busier we would have found it uncomfortable. There was also an issue with an unexpected friend asking to join us for the day. There are rules at the site prohibiting visitors, that I hadn't realized were in the terms and condition. That said we took our car out all day with our friends and they spent an hour there late afternoon for a cup of tea before they left. The owner challenged the stay and charged them £19 ( £7 per adult and £5 for a car), even pointed out that they had used the toilets.. The site was basically empty and we felt his approach was heavy handed. To be honest I felt so bad I just wanted to leave and would have if we could have found a site near by with availability. Finally, when we booked we had electricity included , but when we arrived the owner explained they had changed to a meter system using prepaid cards. She explained that they would put £20 on a card for us, we said we understood this and was happy with the arrangement. It was only when we looked at the meter and could see that £20 had bought us 23KW which is £0.86 a unit, a lot more expensive that domestic and business charges. All in all , although the site would suit most people, we wouldn't return.
