Nice level pitch, good staff helpful and friendly, facilities basic but clean, a good base for Bideford and surrounding area.

Nice little site for families and couples. Nice location, very well sign posted. Received a lovely welcome text the day before arrival which ensured a smooth set up. Fire pits to rent with wood was a lovely touch and the kids loved the fire changing powder in the "gift shop". Handly little fridge on site to use whilst we re-froze our ice blocks in the freezer.
Toilets and showers were clean and toilet paper there to use.

Sadly there was nowhere to hook tje dogs to whilst we used the facilities which meant one of us had to stay at the tent rather than go to the toilet together (especially at night!).
A few lights on the way down to the toilets would be helpful. We had a higher pitch which meant it was extremely dark heading to the toilets at night. A few solar lights would do the trick!

What a lovely little campsite. Nikki messaged me on the day with all the needed booking in details and a weather warning as a storm was due. She was very friendly. The site is in lovely condition with everything you need from a small site. They have been very thoughtful with all the different bits they have to borrow and buy etc. There is a family bathroom which made me and my kids going to clean teeth etc a bit easier as a single parent. I’d happily come back again.

As I’m very eco minded my only comment would be that the 2 bins on site were for all rubbish. I’d love to see a food bin if they have facilities for that in the area and a separate recycling and waste bin.

The view and the animals on site

The showers weren’t very clean and the toilet bins weren’t emptied regularly enough. The bins in the toilet also were just a plastic bin with no lid or liner which is very unhygienic and at times were over flowing.
There could be a sign in the showers asking people to leave the facilities as they would like to find them and also regularly be cleaned.

Everything!!
Location was great for visiting many locations along the coast, the campsite is a treasure. Excellent large pitches, well kept and everything was on hand. Toilets and showers were immaculate, the honesty shop and being able to hire fire pits and wood are a really good touch. Loved every last thing about this site and will be recommending and visiting again. Was sad to leave if I'm honest, the owners should be so proud of what they provide here, many small personal touches around the whole site. 10 out of 10 for me!!

Really loved this little site - had a very generous and flat gravel pitch for our campervan, with electric hookup and a picnic table too.
All the facilities were spotless and beautifully created; everything worked well and we felt very welcome and safe.
